I noticed this collector's item has dropped to a nice price, although not the lowest (camelcamelcamel reported $255 in 2021).

It includes 57 of the animated classics (52 Blu-Ray and 5 DVD) and an 80-page collectors' art book. This comes down to $5.2 per movie.

  I purchased this last year and it was sent by satchel with no protection. It may be worthwhile to keep this in mind if you like your collector's items to arrive in perfect condition. I was unhappy with the condition in which mine arrived.

    The period from 30 (Beauty and Beast) -37 (Tarzan) was a real purple patch but then has also come good again from 50 onwards.

    You wouldn't be buying this to watch the movies, it's more of a collector's piece to show off.

      Collector's sets from movie studios imo are just collections, nothing particularly valuable about them. They become somewhat redundant once they are superseded a few years later when more movies are added to the collection. DVD sets get replaced by blu-ray sets, blu-ray sets may or may not be replaced by 4K UHD sets.

      I agree that there is a purpose for them as mentioned above, when maybe they are no longer available to stream. But in this particular instance, I don't think that will ever happen with Disney+
