F me dead, is there any normal food to buy any more, that's made of actual, real food ingredients. All these items are freaky scary to read what they're made of, lab, pharmaceutical abominations.

    • +15

Holy cow it's even got dihydrogen monoxide in it! Can't believe they put that stuff in everything nowadays, the audacity.

      • I learnt something new today 😆

    • +2

Just because they are big words, doesn't mean they aren't natural…. Also, not an E number in sight, speaking of pharmaceuticals……

      • -1

A lot of companies avoid writing numbers, but write them in words instead to avoid certain people returning the item back in the freezer, new marketing scam. Enjoy! : )

        • Sure, but I'll be damned if I can see anything in that ingredients list that is anything unusual. So tell me, what's freaky scary to you?

    • +1

The aluminium leaching into your brain from your tin foil hat is likely to do more damage than anything in this ice cream….

  • +4

    These are god tier.

I've stocked up in fear they'll never get these back in stock

Best ice-cream on a stick I've ever eaten.

    • They only seem to have Pistacho in stock atm at multiple stores, and they are at a very good price at $5 which is the best sales price you can get these for.

Mordialloc Woolies, Vic had every flavor I went at 5.30 pm today. 3rd April.

I'm only spilling the beans because my freezer is full.

A bit too sweet as a range, but the Stracciatella flavour is really great.

Still waiting for Mapo to sell out and start a supermarket line

Way too sweet and very small. This should be normal price IMO.

  • I enjoy the smaller size and dont find them too sweet. The chocolate coating is softer and darker. These are definitely worth $5 at least.

  • Stracciatella (cookies and cream) is the best but Pistachio was more like a caramel and Pistachio or Dulce de leche style.

    • It’s more like chock chip and cream.
      No cookies in stracciatella, sorry.

      • From the website: https://www.sammontana.com/gelati-all-italiana/products/gruv…
"Vanilla-flavoured gelato with chocolate shavings, with a chocolate ripple and dipped in a chocolate coating strewn with crunchy cookie bits"

Hasbulla I like your instagram and I'm sorry you didn't cop any cookies in your gelato but there were definitely cookie pieces in mine.

        • Sorry!
My bad I thought it was an unbastatdised stracciatella recipe.
They market it as stracciatella but it is cookies and cream. Sad.

  • I liked the pistachio one?
Did anyone try the almond variety?

    • Almond has caramel as well and is probably the sweetest of them all.

      Stracciatella is the best imo

  • I bought some of these previously and the chocolate coating was soft, instead of having a tempered bite. Is the coating supposed to be soft or did I get a bad batch.

    • Supposed to be soft, its got a slight Nuttella like flavour in my opinion.

    • Just came back here to ask this lol. Had the pistachio and strat and the coating was soft. Thought there might be something wrong with my freezer setting

  • +1

    Gelato in name only

    • -1

They are made in Italy… How much more Gelato do you want lol?

      • Fair enough.
Not such a thing in Italy as the difference we make here between ice cream and gelato.
        Everything is called gelato there.
No need for fancy marketing to charge you $8/scoop

  • Had a stroke trying to pronounce that thanks

  • I gave them a go but no more….

  • Anyone know whether this is the price for existing week woolies special, or will carry through to tomorrow (next week special)?

    • Its on again from Wednesday the 26th April at $5 a box.
