"Great Aussie Road Trip" Voucher Offers: $0.05/L Fuel Discount, BOGOF Hot Drink or Iced Coffee @ Shell Coles Express

340

Shell Coles Express currently have these free "Great Aussie Road Trip" booklets at the counter which contain a voucher for getting 5c off per litre on fuel and a buy one, get one free Hot Drink or Iced Coffee. Pic of the vouchers with terms

The fuel offer can be stacked with 4c Coles Discount + Spend $20 in store to receive 10c per litre off.

The BOGOF counts towards the Flybuys Coffee Credits so for your 6th coffee you can get 3 for the price of 1.

I personally find the coffee at Coles Express to be better than 7/11, especially for the price. Each to their own of course.

  • might want to add an extra 0 to the price, i read that as 50c/Litre HAHAHA

    • +3

50c/L is just what they jack their prices up by for the Easter long weekend

  • where can I find the voucher?

    • Always read the deal ;)

      • Does the voucher have to be shown from the booklet or can one print from the PDF online? I rang one of the stores but the guy didn't know. Wasn't sure from T&Cs

        • According to the T&C's you must show and surrender the physical voucher as it's a cardboard tear off.

  • Expecting more upvotes for this deal. Can't believe I'm the only one

    • To be fair it was only 29 minutes old when you posted this but even so, their coffee isn't worth $1.50 even for 2 tbh and their fuel is consistently more expensive.

It's like their in store offer on fuel docket is a specific flavour of Smith's chips for $3.50. Not really worth it to me.

    • for me, costco fuel is always the cheapest. The only time filling up anywhere else like Ampol or BP is cheaper per litre is if I have a $10 or more cashback offer from my credit cards

Nonetheless, these discounts are good for those who don't have access to costco, especially if you can stack them

      • For me it is United after Suncorp discount cause Costco and then are trying to beat each other at Perth Airport.

  • 7-Eleven has better deals in fuel and products and oh, better fuel too. It's the Aldi of petrol stations. The best eva!

    • There's no Aldi or 7/11 in my state, so unfortunately they're the most expensive for me.

      • You must be in Tassie or NT

      • +1

Really? No Aldi nor 7-Eleven? That is a crying shame indeed. Consider moving to a different state?

        • Not a massive loss tbh. Mainlanders in the cities are too stressed and you spend all day travelling. I enjoy my 20 minute 15km commute into the Hobart CBD during rush hour :)

          • @Clear: Tasmania is beautiful

          • @Clear: Tasmania? Well, that's a different story then. I'd gladly give up my 7-Eleven/Aldi fetish if I ever get a chance to move to that beautiful state. Love that 4 seasons in a day feeling.

            • @pacificstorm: The peak of Mt Wellington is only a 20 minute drive from the CBD, so when winter comes you don't have to go far to get snow. Even in August and early September it's not unusual for there to be still snow.

              • @Clear: Man, that sounds really superb. Battery Point will do me just fine {in my dreams).

            • @pacificstorm: If you're after 4 seasons/day Melbourne is another option 😁

    No longer free though… 😢

  • @Clear I assume you can't stack this coffee offer (bogof) with the coffee credits in the Flybuys app. It says "Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer"

    • +2

Presumably. I'll test it out tomorrow.

      • Let us know. Thanks

        • Both counted towards the coffee credits. Plus I got another booklet.

          • @Clear: Thanks. More coffee credits. Yay!

  • Wasn't offered the booklet in my last three visits over the past week just before long weekend…

    • Staff don't offer the booklets. You would have to pick them up (kept near the checkout) or ask them. The first time I used, the team member didn't know what to do at the till. He used a calculator to work out the 5 cents discount and applied manually.

  • I scanned my flybuys and didn’t get any credits for the coffee! How come?

    • Did you buy a coffee????

      • Yes two

Just filled up at my local Coles express…
    $120 fuel

Scanned the 10c AFL code and all good. Discounted 10c litre
Till lady took the 5c tear off from the back of the book and all good. Discounted another 5c litre.
Scanned my Flybuys card and what I thought took off Another 4c litre, turns out it cancelled the previous 5c litre discount and only got 14c off.

Took it to 1c litre cheaper than the locally owned/operated independent….

BUT, on the till, each time a code is scanned, it comes up with 0.01 discount….
It showed that three times, so was sure I was going to get 19c litre discount.

Unfortunately, only got the 14. Not 19 and not even the 15.

    The Flybuys took precedence obviously

  • When does the next shell book come out this these deals have ended please?

    • No idea, for two reasons:

      • I have never seen Shell Coles Express do this kind of deal before this one.

      • This fuel discount offer appeared to be offered by Coles Group, not Viva Energy. Viva Energy completed its acquisition of Shell Coles Express from Coles Group on 01 May 2023, so it is anyone’s guess whether Viva Energy would want to run a campaign like this in the future, especially since Viva Energy already has its own suite of fuel discounts.
