ASUS RT-AX86U Wi-Fi 6 Router $369 Delivered @ Amazon AU + $50 Cashback from ASUS (Existing Eligible ASUS Router Required)

300

ASUS are offering cashback on various models of router, providing you already have an eligible ASUS router. Amazon also have cut the prices of some of these routers, giving some of the cheapest prices for these routers.

Examples are:
RT-AX86U from Amazon $369 delivered + $50 cashback = $319 total.

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 from Amazon $519 delivered + $100 cashback = $419 total.

The T&C of the deal are poorly worded, but my understanding is if you already own a router listed on the table (regardless of when it was purchased), and buy another one during the offer period (1st April 2023 to 31st May 2023) , then you will get the cashback value next to the new router.

Thanks to @delfredo for originally finding this

  • Anyone got hands on experience with the ac86u?
I have the ac88u, bit sure if upgrading for wifi 6 is worth it?
Also the ax6000 only has 4 LAN ports? Seems a bit odd for the price

    • Do you have 2.5Gbps port on your PC? Otherwise I don't see a point in upgrading.

      • +2

2.5G is also useful when you want to have wired backhaul in AiMesh not just connecting it to PC.

        • +1

You still need another device with a 2.5Gbps whether it's a PC or another mesh/router. By itself alone it does nothing.

    • 4 + Wan+ another 2.5 g port

  • +1

So my rt-ac68u and dsl-ac68u aren't eligible but if you've already bought a wifi 6 router you can buy another one… Stupid promotion.

  • +1

The redemption form is only asking for invoice and serial number of one product?

  • +2

The Amazon page says $369 but when you go into the cart its $443?

Edit : looks like the sale price has ended.

  • +1

Never seen such a stupid promotion

    • +1

They're targeting people who want to run AI Mesh.

  • +1

Good price already got the AX6000 for $411 from eBay.

    • +1

This is a cashback promo, so assuming you could pick it up at 411 still(which you can't), you'd be paying 361.

One to watch out for to see if there are any sales this can be stacked with.

      • Just saying it's a good router and great price around $400.

        • Don't disagree. It's a good router - I'm watching for a deal for a price protection claim.

  • can someone explain the promo? do I actually need to already own existing router from table 1?

  • Anybody who owns an eligible router want to share their serial number? Going to buy a router that has a $!00 bonus. Will share $50 once successfully claimed. Pm me
