          Telstra/Boost Pre-Paid support are just foreign min-wage phone-drones working through flow-charts, they're next to useless, they seem to be dealing with multiple people at once, take ages to reply, and they'll say anything to get rid of you, I very much doubt they could offer any help with the purchasing issues so many people have…

          (edit: one sim I had took 2.5 hours in chat to get activated, the chat-drone refused to pass me on to a supervisor and gave me all sorts of BS excuses why the SIM couldn't be activated, the drone offered to lodge a complaint for me about the activation issues, which I accepted… With persistence the drone eventually passed me to a supervisor who managed to activate the sim…

          Funny and annoying… They didn't send me the chat-log as they claimed they would, but they did contact me later to ask if I was satisfied with the support, I said I wasn't happy and I asked for the chat log, they sent me that but with parts edited out, then I realized the person dealing with the complaint was the same drone that offered to lodge the complaint, the same one who wasted 2.5 hours of my time and fed me a heap of lies about why the sim couldn't be activated…

          So be mindful their support and complaints process is total BS and as corrupt as a system can get ;)

      same here, its their 'over the top' fraud protection system preventing the purchase (found this out from previous posts on ozbargain)

      Mine all bought in Nov 2022 was paid in Jan 2023, Dec paid in Feb, Jan paid in march. So it’s about 2 months providing you activated it within 30 days of purchases. Just make sure it’s tracked in CR apps within 2 days, if it doesn’t track, just email CR support, they will ask for copy of order confirmation email. They are very prompt. I use CR apps bought 2 -3 every month on sale. So far only one purchase didn’t track from apps but CR rep sorted it out promptly.

    2 out of 3 of my last purchases from Boost/CR haven't tracked and have required the hassle of manually lodging a claim - which I'm sure will be approved but it's annoying.

    • Same here - purchased 2 last time, neither tracked and have had to go through the lodging a case etc. For $2.50, unless you can use the sims as a data sim or port across, just isnt worth the hassle.

            • @tightarse: No it doesn’t. I got a tracking email as you suggested, but still the claim gets rejected so put in a manual claim

        • No sweat @tightarse. End of the day I just send a manual follow up and usually gets sorted out in the end.

      You can probably activate now to use the data, then just buy another in a few months. Assuming they don't stop the deals in new financial year

  • My last two won’t activate. I keep getting the message that it can’t be processed at the moment and try again later. Anyone else get the same? Should you wait a few days before activating another Sim?

      Minimum $5 per 30 days for Kogan Mobile at the moment. I think there are other alternatives like Lebara Mobile 30 days with less restrictions.

      • I have Kogan ATM, was on boost. Can I port back to boost inside 30days? Ie my Kogan data runs out before end of 30 days

          @mikeSYD Yes, you can port back to boost, as i port every month i am limited by using kogan as they have the 30 day rule which means i can only use a kogan sim every second month.

    Been having trouble activating with boost the past 2 times because “I already have an account”. Last week spent about 1 hour on live chat, not worth it.

      my second last sim took 1 hour, 20 minutes and 3 reps to get just the 1 sim activated. with the right rep, i can get 2 sims activated in 30 mins.
