My membership expires end of this month but the wording is confusing. "Membership fees will be charged at the beginning of your renewal month"

This does not work if you have already collected any freebies (cooler/ tote bag) for auto- renewing in the past.

Yes, that's what the Costco app is for. You still have to get it verified in the warehouse before you can use it though
They provided me $10 store card on the spot at store, today and also given me free nice shopping bad.
ohh, a shopping bad ? what did that entail exactly ? was it worth the $10 reward ?
Just summarising the above with my experience:
- you get the store card (or whatever freebie) on the spot.
- it only works if you have never collected the auto-renewal freebie before
- auto renew charges after the membership has expired, ie, start of the new membership year
- reminders are sent if auto renew is not switched on. Staff at the check out would also let you know and offer to renew
- letting membership expire may receive special promos to lure you back in at their discretion. Doesn’t happen all the time but I guess there’s no harm just letting it expire and then sort it all out the next time you step into a store.
Sorry I'm a bit unclear. So as an existing Costco member I need to do this in store ONLY.. find this QR code (at a register?) and do it in front of some one who checks and gives me a physical $10 voucher? If I have already installed the app I can just un sub form auto renew and uninstall it first?

Guys, I am not a Costco member yet. Do I need to first go to Costco to get membership card and then scan the QR code? If i just scan the QR code it asks me to download the App. Once done, in the App it is asking me to either 'Login' or 'Register Account'. The register account asks me to then validate my membership (identity check).
can you cancel your card at any time for full refund? Ive been a member for 2 years but want to cancel now
Dunno about full refund, but I heard you won't be able to sign up for a year if you do

I think it's nationwide; I did it at the Casula store two months ago. Promptly unenrolled once I got my Shop Card
