[PC, VR, Steam] All Half-Life Games Now Playable in VR (Unofficial Modding)

Did you know that pretty much all of the Half Life games can now be played in VR, thanks to some unofficial mods?

In order to play in VR, you need to own the original flatscreen Steam games and also own a SteamVR compatible headset.

Once you have installed the games on your PC proper, you can visit the Developers page and add the Mods to your steam library.

  • HL2 VR is fantastic. The driving sections will give you HUGE nausea if you're not used to VR though, be warned.

Sweet I'll be able to use it with this rare unknown package

I'll be eager to try HL1 in VR. That'll be an experience with those graphics.

  • I'm new to HL. FPS usually get me sick within 20min. Is vr better or worse in this regard?

If you already get motion sickness from FPS games, VR will 10x worse lol

      • oh, I thought being "real" looking around might make it feel more natural…

        • I don't normally get motion sickness from games but something about HL2 got me. I didn't have trouble with Portal 1 or 2 either.
