Mesh base $289 & Upholstered base is $299.

I think you can get a further $10 off with code WEEKEND10 but you have to go to checkout to see if it works.

Delivery cost will vary depending on location, $34 to Melbourne seems reasonable, interstate gets quite pricey.

    $119 delivery to Perth.

      $279 to Broome 🤣

    • 49 to metro Sydney

    • Ha! $174 to my home in TAS! Which is a complete joke because the shipping company would have to drive past my town from the ferry in Devonport to the depot in Launceston, before it would come back out to me.

      • Ha! $184 to Cossack, Northern Territory! Try to find a more expensive place to ship to.

  • Is this one of the legit office furniture companies? Versus the gaming crap brands. If they're comparable to HM or Steelcase this is an amazing deal.

I am sitting on an Ergohuman now (the same one with the headrest). I would recommend it. I rarely use the headrest. The good chair I have owned it a few years and the mesh hasn't sagged or anything.

      • I just looked up third party headrests for my 12 year old aeron. $300- bugger.

FWIW I bit the bullet and haven’t looked back since. I got the Atlas one

          • @tsugnev: That's the one that pops up on searches. Any issues with it?

My Aeron is a decade old. Not sure if there have been design changes that would cause fit problems.

      • Is the mesh nylon or rubber based?

    • They are legit, but more budget than hm or steelcase

    • I bought an IOO from ergohuman.com.au for quite a bit more, and it feels higher quality and more comfortable than the Haworth range I tried at officeworks, even though the Haworth range is higher rated by BTODTV

My experience with my Ergohuman was uncomfortable. The 'lip' where my thighs rested caused me a lot of pain. They have padding on the lip but even with that, I still felt the hard plastic underneath it. Not sure if it's because I chose the full mesh material that was the issue but I have since got rid of it.

    • Funny that im getting the same with my Ergotune which is a mesh chair as well ..

      • Are the mesh chairs that you two are using the ones where it's just mesh on the bottom or a mesh covered foam cushion?

I've got one of the alfordson mesh chairs from Amazon with the headrest and adjustable lumbar. It was around $140 but it's quite comfortable and the bottom part has the metal base plate and a chunky 10cm-ish foam cushion covered in mesh fabric. There is a bit of a raised lip at the front but I don't notice it much since my feet are usually on my foot rest, but I get what you mean, without the footrest I can see this being uncomfortable for some people.

        • Nah, Ergotune is mesh chair… You can see through to the floor.

They have a rubber cushion on the front lip but it's deteriorating…

          • @meong: Ahhh. I don't think I can handle the ones that don't have cushion on the bottom. I went with the alfordson one as all I wanted was airy mesh back and cushiony mesh bottom. my ideal chair would be mesh back leather bottom but I don't think I can get this without frankensteining some chairs

            • @DangerNoodle: I would prefer fabric cushion as the base though. I used to have Secretlab faux leather that I have sold due to the base going a bit sweaty at times 🫥

              • @meong: Not sure if the link will be blocked by OzB but this is the one I've got, mesh fabric on foam cushion for the base with mesh back, might be what you were after. https://amzn.asia/d/bgI6jWW

          • @meong: I just got an Ergotune and the lumbar support is giving me aches but is slowly getting better. Did you experience any problems like that?

            • @monzi: V3 comes with the adjustable 'Atlas' lumbar so you can reduce the resistance.

Maybe try doing that first? Also, i tend to adjust the lumbar all the way up so it sits on my midback.

My wife has the same issue, buying into her legs. She put a cushion on her mesh base, it's a bit better. She also doesn't think the back comes up vertical enough for her, but that will vary person to person, another cushion.

      Construction wise, rock solid.

I find the mesh based one quite comfortable for long periods of sitting. Seems like it will last a fair while, I paid more for this 6 months ago.

  • I’m happy with mine I got a year ago. Mesh is great in the warmer months. These are legit.

Is ErgoDuke a better brand? Is it related to ErgoHuman at all?

  • Still sitting on the Bruno. It's great.

This chair is good. Be warned though i think its super heavy compared to the aeron but they are comparable in comfort. They are also way beyond anything in the same price point

  • Bought one 2 years ago. They are okay. Don't get the headrest. Waste of money tbh.

  • is the upholstered base considered better?
