Best Credit Card with Free Travel Insurance?

I’ve never had a credit card. I travel overseas twice a year and usually spend approx $200 per trip on travel insurance.

I realise I may be able to save money on travel insurance if I get a credit card that offers free travel insurance. Plus the benefits of earning points.

Can anyone recommend a good credit card with free travel insurance?

TIA!

Best to me is CBA, don't even need to spend money. I have claimed it once without any issue but international only.

      • CBA is changing their spending limits ($2000/mth) to maintain annual fee waiver - so I'm looking for an alternative now. No way can I spend $2000 per month on the card. Used to be $10k per year which I struggled with.

  • Thanks, I realise I may have posted in the wrong forum as didn’t realise there is a separate credit card forum.

After spending this morning doing some research I realise an important feature is no international transaction fees.

      Please post what you've found

    • It’s not just the international fees it’s the currency conversion. Sometimes you’re better off with a small fee if the conversion is better.

  • Looks like $270 not $160 for the BW World MC. Also note the $12k minimum credit limit - so would want to be earning an OK amount before considering to apply (plus any impact this has on your ability to borrow for mortgage in the future - it could reduce your borrowing capacity by $50k or more)

Tiny bit left of field but I've chosen to get a debit card that includes travel insurance and still has no forex fees - for a $10/month fee. Its the NAB Platinum Debit Card. https://www.nab.com.au/personal/accounts/debit-cards/nab-pla…
