The day has come where 1tb sd cards are close to 100$

  • The speeds although half that of the extreme pro are respectable for most purposes and the price is very appealing.
Depending on your cameras buffer, it’s likely a non issue.

  • I almost hit buy for a couple, but then I double checked the things I was planning on using them with and they all take micro-SD.

  • The 32GB SD card for my Canon 6D suddenly stopped working, so is this a good choice?

    • +1

The 6D has a maximum write speed around 40MB/s, which is about half the write speed of this card so this card should work well.

      • Thanks mate!

  • How long should these things last?

My 64gb card just failed in my dashcam after about a year

    • Depends on your card. Endurance cards have been made for use in Dashcams due to constant writing and wild temperature changes seen in automotive. If you had just a general purpose microSD card in your dashcam then they are less likely to hold up as well as a purpose designed one for that type of application.

      • Pretty sure it was a Sandisk Ultra.

Definitely not a specialised endurance card. I see your point re the temperature variations - they can be very extreme.

  • Imagine the card corrupted..

  • 5 year limited warranty for those wondering.
The limitation seems to be as long as its not used for constant write (dashcam\industrial) use.
