    Two pieces of advice.

    1. Remove the pointless and useless "Our decision will be final in case of any disputes." in your returns & refunds terms. This clause will never hold up in court. The Supreme Court of Victoria (the state of your business registration) and the High Court of Australia have the final say, not you.
    2. Link to the product pages or a sales page, not your store's home page.

I love how people try and overwrite consumer rights, lol it doesn't work that way guys…… you can't write in T&Cs whatever you want

  • This store has only posted 2 deals & the 1st one was removed for sockpuppeting.

Now we find out they are breaching ACCC laws as mentioned above by alvian, neg.

    • hi watchnerd! we admire your civic-mindedness in warning the ob community on businesses that breach laws! it is alarming to us that we are breaching something here as you've mentioned - what exactly would that be? please, let us know so that it can be remedied!

  • ah I remember this 1-2 tango. :)

Alvian, good suggestion for a sales page - we'll get someone on setting up a filter for that. thanks!

re point 1, perhaps we could make it clearer. we'll see how to go about that.

    watchnerd - .

  • Hi Alvian, we've further defined our clauses on disputes. We
    - hold firm in our decision to state who the decision holder would be in a 2 party arrangement (that of a customer and seller),
    - and to further clarify as it never was our interpretation that 'our final decision trumps legislation', we invite dissatisfied customers to take it up with the relevant commissions,
    - and should such authorities deem fit, we will remedy.

in anticipation of future posts, was there any other issues that you'd like us to look into?
