IMHO, they are just scam.
I used this app once to make a restaurant reservation in January and I received the following email before I could actually use 2000 yums received last promotion.
Dear user,
We inform you that we have found that you have made improper use of our booking service, to accumulate loyalty points in your account.
In section 5 of our terms of use, which you can view at https://www.thefork.com/legal, we declare the following: «[Furthermore, failure by Users to comply with these Terms of Use (including failure to honour several reservations (no-shows), any abuse or fraudulent use of TheFork Site and/or Yums, or any behaviour prejudicial to the interests of La Fourchette may result in the deactivation of the User's account and/or the immediate deletion of all or part of the Yums stored in the loyalty space of the User's account on TheFork Site, without prior notice or compensation.]
Therefore, and in accordance with article 4.7 of Title 1 of our Terms of Use The Fork, we inform you that we have deactivated your TheFork account.

This is my real experience, I attended my booking and had a valid payment transaction. My account has now been blocked and I cannot log in. I sent them an email but they weren't bothered to reply.
This whole thing was not worth my time until I read this post today and I would like to remind anyone not to waste your time with this.
If the meat & wine co stopped acepting yums i'd not care about collecting them any more.
there's a few places doing double yums where I can spend maybe 30 but get 50 off a visit to M&W Co
Getting the % discount can be good.
Find often liven is a more convenient option

From past experiences you can only use the code once
Sitting on 6000 yums i can barely use as hardly any restaurants in Melbourne accept them. Not bothering to chase yums anymore. Some of the discounted deals are good though, as you get an instant discount instead of unusable yums.
