  Apple TV is another streaming platform, but do you need an Apple device to watch it? I search for the Apple TV app in Playstore and get message saying it's not compatible with my Android device. Will the app install on a Google TV?

    No, not necessary.

    Will the app install on a Google TV?

    If it’s a relatively recent model, probably a good chance it can, but not so for older TVs. You would need to search the app store on your particular TV to be sure—e.g. my pre-2018 Sony didn’t let me, but subsequent models do.
