  • damn, just ordered some at 40% last week

    • +3

$3 more exy plus its a week older than ours. Sounds like you got your 87% worth..

  • +3

Just placed a 1kg order for $30 and still got a free shipping option to NSW. Thanks OP!

    • +3

Also got free shipping with 1kg order for SA :)
      Thanks OP!!

Highly recommend. Sunset Blvd is always great. Downtown I thought was really good. Have found Roosevelt can vary in quality. Trying their Chai this time too

    • Thanks I ordered Downtown today. How does it compare with Sunset?

      • +1

Doesn't have that same nice biscuity smell but tastes a bit better in my experience

      • sunset blvd is the best espresso bean for chocolate caramel fans

  • +2

Can highly recommend this coffee its fantastic, we work right across from them, they have a nice little shipping container cafe out the front that uses the sunset blvd bean and its mighty fine

  • +1

    Sunset is excellent 👌

  • The first time I bought Sunset, it was amazing. The second time, meh. Haven't bought anymore.

  • +1

    No delayed shipping?

  • Any review on the pods?

So far the non-nespresso ones I tried have been fairly bad, esp when they come in plastic pods..
Just using the same coffee beans but packaging it in pods isn't enough

  • +1

Looks like they don't have light roast coffee? Anyone tried any of their coffee on Breville Dual Boiler?

    • +2

filtered is light roast, you can do an espresso on them fine but different flavour profile vs. intended brew method. i have a breville barista and their beans are good imho

Sunset blvd - milk based and espresso. - along the lines of lime blue moments.

    • This one sounds amazing, albeit the incorrect espresso tasting notes listed on the filter page -

      And this -
      https://inglewoodcoffeeroasters.com.au/product/colombia-inza…

I ordered both. Manual brewer here.

      • Just tried the Eth with french press.. Loving the blood orange note

        • Yum, yes! I’m getting a more delicious cup using French press for the Ethiopian. The Colombian goes better with pour over, more clarity. Hoping for another sale while the Ethiopian is in stock 🤞

          • @JayParker: Just tried the Colombian… Boom!

My first impression is that it's my favourite from Inglewood so far.. It's got the body of downtown or blvd but quite a few more notes coming through for me with the press.

Might have to give pour over a go now that I'm comfortable with french press

my favourite coffee - sunset blvd! thanks OP, just starting to run low and got 2

  • Inglewood, LBC, or Soprano coffee??? Too many coffee deals running atm.

    • I've just grabbed 1kg from Inglewood. I normally get the Brazilian from LBC for $34/kg, but $30/kg delivered is an excellent deal.
Soprano 2kg is too much for me.. Wouldn't be fresh by the time I get around to the second half…

      • Share with friends, or freeze some? Heard freezing retains quality pretty well 😉

  • I bought the Roosevelt blendd but looking at everyone's comments here seems like I should have gone the sunset blvd? How does the Roosevelt go as a milk basked coffee?

    • +1

They are both nice, the Sunset is better

    • +1

Don't fret! We buy Roosevelt and prefer it to Sunset - although both are nice. I find Roosevelt to be a little more 'earthy' - which works well in our flat whites.

  • Anyone tried their matcha? And knows how it might compare to the ceremonial /JAS certified organic stuff from purematcha.com.au? (which seems to be the gold standard…)

    • Just bought some, remind me later and I will tell you

      • I ended up buying too, let's report back here 😁

  • Nice, bought few beans.
Do folks now when are they going to deliver this?
Probably I missed it in the confirmation page

  • How long do beans stay fresh (Whole bean) without opening the bag? Will they be fine for months? I am waiting on a coffee machine to come on sale

    • +2

i buy on sale and sometimes have 4-5 months of wait for opening. I don't think they are AS fresh but still perfectly drinkable (I.e. 90-95%).

  • +1

Also for those discussing blend types - Tinker in Northcote Melbourne use Roosevelt as their house blend for lattes and flat whites and it is a sensational cup (beautiful strong latte in particular)

  • If you're not looking to get 1kg bags - for Sunset and Roosevelt (only ones I checked) 2 x 250g is cheaper than 500g.

    • Tried that and it adds $5 for standard delivery (I'm in SA, so no free delivery for anything that's under $50 before discount). Would rather pay extra $8 and get a kilo.

  • I just missed out on this deal. Anyone has a 25 or 40% off code which I can use?

  • Would be nice if they would ship them…
Won’t arrive until after Anzac Day now

    • +1

Exactly what I was wondering. It has been days since I've placed my order and they haven't shipped yet. The other two coffee roasters who post deals here ship them the following day, and with express shipment. This is a standard shipment and haven't shipped yet. Just hoping the coffee is good that the delayed shipment will be worth it.

    • Same here - order placed on 17th April and still nothing. Man I love these beans but get so frustrated by how long they take to ship out every time I order..

  • +1

I ordered on 17th delivered Sydney yesterday, not bad. Made my first coffee with Roosevelt Blend and must say it made a lovely Latte.

  • I ordered on 17th too and got the delivery today to sydney

  • still hasnt received anything. did anyone get any info or shipment update from them?
    Im in VIC

    • Received an Auspost update on Monday indicating its "ready for processing" and hasn't changed since then 🙁

  • Ordered on 17th and only just got the email to say a shipping label has been generated this morning. Anyone else in the same boat?

    • Same here, ordered to SA and only just got the email. Was expecting it to arrive by now, our hopper is almost out…

    • Still waiting, delivery not coming today. At this rate I'll have to start ordering a month or more before my current bean supply runs out

  • I emailed them today - my order is still at the roastery awaiting pickup… 7 days after ordering, so looks like ill be waiting until next week now.

    • Same for me. Received Couriers Please tracking number Monday, still waiting to be picked up.

      • Same here. Haven't even got a tracking number. I'll avoid these guys in the future. This is ridiculous.

  • Still waiting on mine. Wonder how old the beans will be by the time I receive them.

  • Yep, still waiting here..

I bought 1x250g 2 weeks ago and that came a lot quicker

  • Mine was delivered today, roast date 24/4.

  • Placed an order on 17/4 - beans were roasted on 17/4.
However looks like only picked up on 24/4, and delivered 28/4.

    Not too impressed

  • Got a bag of Sunset Blvd based on recommendations. It's OK but overly bright to my palate. No smooth chocolatey tones I was hoping for as per the description.

  • Finally received my order. Ordered 17th, roasted on 27th, delivered on 4 May. I ended up ordering beans from another roaster last week that were delivered in two days. Not impressed as this is the second time I’ve had issues with Inglewood. Will be avoiding in future.
