First try going to http://www.tvwinners.com.au/Competitions/Competition.aspx?Pa…
Input the code: YPP4KM

If you don't win you can either try another email address.

…..or try your hand at an SMS to 1999 1555 containing - YPP4KM - You'll get a unique code back and then go pop it into http://www.tvwinners.com.au/Competitions/Competition.aspx?Pa…

I've just gotten a couple, should be good to just get one and print multiple times as per normal though I guess?
Get in quick, not sure how long this will last.

Vouchers have expiry date of Monday 3rd September.

Note: Some are reporting it's not always giving a whopper voucher, so be weary.

  • Sms cost? Included on voda 45 infinite anyone know? Is it REALLY free, thats what im really asking..

    • +1

I've got no idea, it depends on what your provider says about these types of numbers I guess. Even if it's say a 50cent message, still a cheap Whopper :)

    • +1

It'll be cheaper than the normal cost I guess.

    • -1

SMS Cost: your number being in a database and used/ by or sold to marketing firms probably?

      • You don't have to send an sms. There is a LINK in the post, and your number does not need to be entered.

    • This is a special number sms so it's not included in Voda infinite plans, that only includes regular phone numbers and international sms.

  • Unique serial or not?

    • It should be unique, but it's still working. Once you SMS you get another unique code (completely different and they're all random) back to claim the free whopper via their site.

      • the $2 scoopon whoppers all had individual numbers but they were never checked. i used the same scoopon every time for the 2? months it ran

  • +2

According to Vodafone the SMS costs 55 cents

  • +1

I googled and saw some similar numbers saying 55c max. But I'm very wary of using my phone, considering the scams that are out there. Hope there is a generic voucher that works. Wish I had a prepaid sim lying around.

Also anyone found a list of participating stores?

  • +8

  • Are the codes different for each burger?

  • i really woudnt recommnend sending a msg to a 19XX number as its a premium number. You might be subscribed to these advertisers on a weekly or fortnightly basis. And every time you recieve a text from them you ll be charged upto $5 / text. its hard to stop them. Really not worth it.. This person who shared the deal can share the voucher if he wanted

whopper really bad for health these days. only go for vegie or chicken in hj now.

eat whoppers kill u slowly thru time

    • whopper really bad for health these days

Only these days?!?! Perhaps the Government should put a ban or enforce warning signs on Whoppers, like cigarettes boxes. Everything else like cheeseburgers or veggie/chicken burgers is fine though of course lolol

    • +2

If you look at the nutritional values, a Veggie Burger isn't any more healthy than a Classic Whopper. In fact, I'd say it's probably a little more unhealthy due to the higher sodium content.

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68402#comment-841956

I guess in this case, if you're going to have junk food, you might as well choose what you want instead of what sounds 'healthy'.

      • nice work GreenGuava thx. Well. I rare eat hj and will not coinsider whopper at all.

Cheeseburger is also very bad to my view.

I think sodium content in vegie is okay as long as you drink water to dissolve it.

NEVER for Whopper. My stomach feel filled up with junk rubbish.

        • +1

Sounds like HJ isn't in your native food group pyramid

      • How is the veggies patty made, by the way?

        • +1

          With cow.

(not a joke. Look up the ingredients on HJ's website, it contain's calf rennet i.e. enzymes from a cow's stomach.)

        • I think you'll find that's in the cheese not in the patty itself. Also, it's a teeny tiny amount - but yes, not fully vegetarian (and the same for most cheese)

        • Hey they must've changed the recipe. You're right, now the patty doesn't contain rennet any more, but the cheese still does.

I don't care either way, I'd eat baby seal if it was sold, but thought it was a bit dodgy to sell something that's obviously targeted at vegetarians and wasn't, even if they never explicitly say that it is. Especially since I know stacks of vegetarian (or just Hindu) Indians who like going to HJs for the vegie burger.

shrug Anyone tried the angry whopper? It's delicious, even if it isn't free!

  • So, I just print the same voucher as many times? Or does HJ enter the code or something? Doubt HJ has a system like that..

  • -4

    competition, not bargain

  • Where is the code from?

  • Just generated several HJ whopper vouchers, saved 4 of them (all have unique codes). I give up on the iPod.

  • Nothing received in @gmail even after checking for spam.

    • try again,

    • tried several times using YPP4KM but negative.
"Thanks for entering the Hungry Jacks Competition. You are not an instant winner this time, but you’ve been entered…"

Spent 0,55cents via prepaid/woolworths and 'won' the whopper, 1st go using generated (reference) code. Also came off the $29.00 balance I never use, so cost nothing additional.

      • daver

        cheers!=)

        • +1

          I got 3 no-wins, then 1 legendary win :)

      • Ta. Not working effectively or at least as reported by others. Works when one spend 55cents and submit reference code to www.hungryjacksgrandfinallegend.com.au/claim

      • Same here for me. Can't get any free whopper.

  • Fail advertising campaign from Orchid http://www.orchard.com.au/
I suppose they don't know about ozbargain!

  • Pay 55 cent for SMS
No charge for receiving SMS from them.

  • +4

This is not going to end well…

  • awesome time to dust off those spare email accounts and get fat…ter..

  • Want to cheat the system? Easy, use sites that provide FREE SMS like smspup or other sites that gives 100sms, think there was a thread a few years back posted on ozbargain about that.

    Edit from here
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/26052

    • Don't think those free SMS sites will provide premium SMS.

  • -3

Thanks for that, as I've been stung in the past by unscrupulous messages. I now substitute "premium service provider" with "fraudster" in my head, and they won't get me on prepaid in any event, thank heavens.

You pay for receiving a TXT message from this service(): $0.00

HJ one appears safe; but good to have means to check against the scourge of these scamsters in general.

  • Not working anymore? Anyone else?

  • I used about five email addys and got nothing. Might try the free SMS account. It still has credit.

  • I'm pretty sure it got ozbargained. :P

  • YPP4KM still works

  • Tried a few emails but missed out.
Will just have to stay with my 2 Whoppers for $5.95 for now.
