      most basmati rice comes from Pakistan and repackaged as different brands based on quality and type
      these brands mostly don't disclose origins of the rice

  Just notice inflation has jacked this up tremendously over the years.

  2021 was $20 ~ Half price specials = $10
  2022 was $24 ~ Half price specials = $12
  2023 now $30 ~ Half price specials = $15

  Considering local shop selling for $13.75 everyday price as linked above, this must be Woolworths price jacking for record profit year rather than so-called "inflation".
