nbn FTTP 1000/50 Mesh Router Recommendations

I think I need to upgrade to mesh for full coverage in the back yard

FTTP NBN 1000/50

What do people like?
Nettcom NF20 or Google nest?
Other?

It doesn't need to be the cheapest, something that works well and relativity simple.

Thanks

I wouldn't get the NetComm. Google Nest Wi-Fi is capable of up to roughly 650Mbps over Wi-Fi 5 in a best case scenario and roughly 920Mbps wired. Google Nest Wi-Fi bundle pack only has two Ethernet ports on the router and doesn't have any Ethernet ports on the nodes. I would get something else for Gigabit. Connect each node with Ethernet if possible.

eero 6+ or eero 6 Pro.
    TP-Link Deco X20 or better.
    Amplifi Alien by Ubiquiti Labs.
Asus ZenWifi XD6S or Asus ZenWifi XT8.
A pair of Asus RT-AX86U or ASUS GT-AX6000.

Woudn't touch either to be honest. So limited what you can do with Google Nest. Nettcomm i've heard can be very confusing or hard to manage through their interface.
Twix has made some wonderful suggestions. Use one of them.

Any wifi 6 Asus routers in wired backhaul. As suggested above, AX86U would be a great start for gigabit speeds.

  • Google will probably shut it down in a few years like all their other crap

  • Would not touch Google Mesh products with a barge pole, but then again I like tinkering with tech gear.

  • Highly recommend Asus XT8.
This is my 3 or 4 Mesh setup and they make it easy.
Updates are seamless and the controls to lock out my kids are a breeze.
    Super fast and reliable..

  • Thanks for the recommendations, wired backhaul is not really possible for me.

Are powerline adapters still a thing?

  • Have had Google mesh for many years now. Router plus three wifi points. I found it simple and reliable to set up and use. It won’t take full advantage of your gigabit connection but it may still be suitable for your needs.

  • Will I need a seperate router with Eero to work with PPPoE?
