Not the lowest price ever on these bone conduction earphones, with a dedicated mic, but pretty rare to see it go sub $200.

These are awesome for work as you can hear ambient sound as well as take calls that come in. I personally find bone conduction headphones really comfortable, and you can wear them for ages.

The mic tests on these seem to be really good from what I've seen on a few YouTube videos.

I also note there's 20% off a few other Shokz items but this one gets discounted to this level so rarely I thought it was worth a post.

    For the savvy, JB Hi-Fi seems to carry this item too, and you can then use discounted gift cards to get a even more competitive price.

    For those without discounted JB cards, another alternative is to price beat at OW, then use ShopBack discounted gift cards (they have a card that works at OW) to get another little bit off.

    I agree those are awesome for "still" working from home people, but …..
    Those have problem with Teams, when you mute headphones, they keep beeping… Such a noise.
    Solution is to get their USB dongle, this will solve that beeping issue and establish a better connectivity with laptop, so you'll not need to reset the Bluetooth connection.
    Dongle is $70 , but after a long fight with them, you can get it for free ;)

      All bluetooth headsets don't work properly with Windows. You get only low quality mono sound when mic is enabled.

      Wondering with the dongle, do you need to install software or does it just work?

        Unable to confirm with the dongle you've mentioned but can confirm that I've used the Jabra Link usb dongle to connect my WF-1000XM4 using the Jabra Connect app. Voice quality through MS Teams was remarkably better and on par with my Evolve2 65 in a quite enviroment. However I'm certain a noise cancelling boom mic would win in a noisey enviroment.

      Don't buy the dongle. The Shokz dongle is a rebadged Advantree DG80. It's way cheaper to buy the original - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09FL54HVM

        Thanks for the tip! I almost bought the $80 Shokz USB dongle until I saw your post.

        I bought the Avantree C81 (USB-C version), and now Teams on windows + opencomm doesn't beep anymore on mute!

      Lucky you. I emailed back and forth and even showing them posts/forum that people got it free, but they will not do anything. I completely lost faith in their company so will not purchase any shokz product.

      Found a solution that avoids the need to use a dongle:

      Here's the fix for Windows 10:
      1. Right click the volume button in the start menu and select "Sounds"
      2. Click on the Recording tab, and select your microphone. Click "Properties"
      3. Go to the "Levels" tab and you might see that your headset is muted by default for some reason. Unclick it.

          Yes it did work for me - turning off and on used to work but now only the steps above have worked. Doesn't seem to stick though so you may need to do it again each time you reconnect.

            @Nuclear Spy: I just tried again and it doesn't work. Used to be able to just press on the + - button to mute but not working anymore. I'm just using the web version teams nowadays if I have to mute.

    For worth it's worth, I have the non mic Aeropex version and while not amazing, I've had a lot of video meetings on them without someone on the other end yelling "your audio is shiiiittt".

    Really handy to have an open earphones like this for in-office video meetings so you don't get too loud.

    Great for riding, audiobooks too. My most used earphones.

      I've got the Aeropex too and have had a few people complain about the audio. When I was using it at work for meetings I actually ended up switching to the microphone array on the laptop itself.

      Audio output on them is fantastic but - use them all the time for podcasts, music, videos etc. Great to be able to still hear the environment (kids, partner, coworkers, etc). Almost like being in a room with the radio on (without bothering everyone else).

      Have broken mine but - had them in my pocket and sat/lied on them :(

        My partner uses the Openrun for meetings, she says they are excellent, no complaints about the mic.

        One thing to consider is without the face mic they are completely invisible to your zoom audience - the mic could be considered a visual distraction.

    Thanks. Got the OpenRun for $175 delivered. Not the cheapest but I just broke another cheap AliExpress bone conduction headphones so hoping for something that's more expensive that will also last a while.

    Do these come with the USB dongle? Can't see it listed on this specific website but other sites do
    EDIT: I'm not very smart, the OPENCOMM UC come with the USB dongle, not this one!

          You only need the dongle if you are using Microsoft Teams on PC in the App (not the browser). In that specific case, the headset makes an annoying mute message every few seconds if you mute via the app.

          In all other cases - just pair via Bluetooth as per normal. This works very well.

    These suck, you'd need a good reason to not be able to use normal headphones to want Shockz. Like prone to ear infections or need to use it underwater or something.

    I own a pair of the Aeropex (no boom mic). I use them for cycling, calls and gaming without issue. They're nice in summer as my Sony XM3's are almost a beanie they get so warm. If i had to replace them I'd get the MEE Audio Airhooks at half the price.

      Those are open air headphones not bone conduction though. They just have tiny speakers projecting sound into your ear canal, and actually sounded better than bone conduction but aren't useful when your ears are somehow blocked.

      The creative ones have both Bluetooth and waterproofing. They seem like the logical upgrade
