Honkai Star Rail is the next big hit from HoYoverse, following the success of Genshin Impact. During the Chinese live stream for Honkai Star Rail three codes were revealed. These codes will work until the 30th of April, 2023. You'll also need to have made an account with a character already to be able to redeeem these codes.

Which server is the best option for Australia, Asia?
They're all pretty high ping atm, I had 200+ on Asia and America, couldn't really tell a difference.
Think a lot of people are playing, the in-game tool is garbage because of the unstable servers, it chooses "lowest" ping but it flip flops every time you open the game, as it's not stable. It has suggested every server to me as "best".
All that said, I settled on Asia yeah, tends to be the choice for us.
I honestly have no idea where they put the server for Asia. I'm getting around 130ms but so are my friends in Singapore and SEA so it could be just be a matter of server being strained

Not a fan of Genshin but can't deny the production quality of these devs.
Tried this out, decent little game, fairly shallow mechanically but was enjoyable, got a bit past the first big boss.
Wait and see how bad the monetisation is, can't see myself dropping a dime at this time, dupes feel pretty important and the drop rates are lowest of the low, basically you have to hit soft pity every time (starts being a 50/50 chance), then hard pity.
Apparently Genshin players will feel right at home with the monetisation though, so I guess if you were happy there, you'll be happy here.
Saw the trailer for it years ago, looked like it 'borrowed' the artwork from Breath Of The Wild.
As a genshin and honkai impact 3rd player, I gotta say the gacha monetisation is more generous than genshin, but stingier than honkai impact 3rd. The gacha system has more incentives for player to pull compared to genshin, whilst cost of pulling is about the same.
For example, in the standard banner, you can get a standard banner character of your choice for free once you reached 300 pulls. You can also exchange currencies obtained from gacha pulling to obtain 5* signature light cone of standard banner character (which genshin doesn't do with their weapon banner)
Honestly, mihoyo is not well known to be greedy with their monetisation tactics (or even power creep) based on my experience honkai and genshin (compared to worse games such as 7d sins, ffbe, brave frontier, fgo) so you probably will only see the banner mechanic gets better over time.
