32”+ Monitor Choice - Any Advice?

Hi

I have a Dell S3221QS at the moment. I’ve had weird flickering and vertical bar issues for a while now, and after a long chat with Dell Technical Support, it seems like it is not compatible with Macs!! They have offered me a full refund on the monitor… (I am getting about $525 back) so I am in the market for a new one. Can anyone help suggest what I should buy? Requirements are:

  • Works well with Mac for my day job with top-notch text clarity
  • Excellent compatability with Xbox Series X (HDR, 4K) for Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 and the occasional Netflix show when the Mrs has the big TV :)
  • Screen size at least 32”

I am not considering an LG OLED or anything like that as a daily screen – too big and risk of Burn-in as I am in Google Docs/ Visual Studio all day with work

So far the front runner -from my research- is the Samsung G7 which is about $950. I have also seen the Dell G3223Q for about $850 directly from Dell which has good Mac compatability.

All advice appreciated

Thanks!

Just buy the 32 inch Lenovo at JB or Amazon.

    Search my post history.

Hell of a display for the money.

      Unsure of morons downvoting.

I have the Lenovo and wife has a Mac connected.
      31.5"
      4k
      IPS
      Free camera
USB hub with 75W power delivery
      4 USB ports.

Camera sell-able for $40 on Facebook.
Got the screen for $550 - total out of pocket cost, $510.

      Also own $1300 Dell 31.5" 4k IPS
      Can't tell difference on display.

Dumb goons downvote, smart people respond with some kind of argument.

Seriously, get the Lenovo, it's fantastic.

benq ew327ou 32" 4K. ($464.00) I literally just bought a second one of these on ebay.
It's a VA panel but If you turn off all the bells and whistles it's got a great picture.
I use it for Architecture design and rendering.
Sick of dragging it between home and work.
This is the cheapest I've seen it and have been looking for sometime now.

  • I love my Philips 4k USB-C, got it for about $749. Model is 328P6VUBREB.

  • As far as I know there are only a few curved 4K monitors; like Samsung UR590 & Gigabyte M32UC - and hardly any ultra-wides
