I'm looking to upgrade my 10 year old Weber Q. Is this the type of brand I should be looking at?
i have an infra red bbq, it’s a charbroil i bought when masters were still in business. love infra red as it can cook really thick steaks and doesn’t depend on heat from an a flame ….infra red is radiated heat and can travel through a vaccum, then absence of hot air from flame also means lean meat doesn’t dry out …..bbq galore also have an infra red bbq range … bbq galore the burner is under the grill plates so as fat i hits it it vaporises like on charcoal …… much better than weber for thick steaks but infra red also costs more ……beefeater have replacement infra red burners for their bbqs …….. expense of infra red burners is why you don’t see many ……
I got one about 6 months ago, and love it. It uses heatstrips instead of naked flame. the only thing I wish was a little different was a stainless still plate and grill over the enamel cast iron, but if you put on high for 10 min after cooking it burns the stuff off anyway. Great for pizzas, I get 2 pizza stones on the top rack. Great for rotisseries also, lamb, pork, chicken. some guy on YouTube called Jack the Greek has some good recipes cooking on the crossray.
noice. great price for the 4 burner built in with this discount. hopefully they can do buy now deliver later though, cus i won't need it for a couple months. guess i'll find out tomorrow.
