SNSOAPRMCSAVE30

Hi guys,

Not as good as last roborock deal however pretty good.

Mobileciti ebay store has the panda edition listed as 1299.99.

Mobileciti is running their own extra 30$ off with code MCSAVE30. The code is automatically applied when you add an item which is valued more than $999. Which takes it down to $1269.99.

Then ebay is running $100 off with code SNSOAPR. This takes it down to $1169.99.

Then cashrewards has 2.5% discount for categories home and appliances. I have checked vacuum is under home and appliances. So it gives you have that 2.5% on 1169.99 which takes it down to 1140.70.

Not a bad deal if you are looking for one right now but if you can wait maybe that is better since s8 has come out and s7+ might go on sale within few months

Previously $1098 in December. Unless you absolutely need one now this is a meh deal.
The S8 just got released so I would expect to be paying even less, not more than the previous.

Having said that, the S7+ is a great piece of kit. We have one on each level and they run autonomously in the high traffic areas. Floor has never been cleaner.

Does it do well with obstacle avoidance?

      • Mine does. Mind you I don't have crap all over the house either.

      • Roborock S7 does not have obstacle avoidance and will run over smaller objects on the floor.

      • We keep a fairly tidy home. We put toys away before running it (at night) and I check for paper or cloths on the floor.

But occasionally it will get stuck eg a bookshelf board on the floor, the metal leg base of my sit-stand desk (I've put a narrow bin on it to prevent it), dinner chair legs (seems fine with some, but not others - I have since made a no-go zone for the latter, which is a bummer since dinner tables often have the most debris under them), underneath a pram (the storage basket underside - again, have made it a no-go zone). That said, this happens maybe once a week at most, and I run this thing nightly and sometimes during the day. Most of the time, it doesn't get stuck.

Arguably the biggest bummer with the obstacle avoidance is that it will definitely get choked by standard cotton bathmats. This means I can't run it in bathrooms unless I take the mats off the floor and hang them somewhere. Curious to know how others handle this.

        • Mark an exclusion zone by drawing out a small square/rectangle where the mat is on the app.

  • Panda edition…

  • Paid $800 for Ecovacs T9+, this is good but no way its worth this much more.

  • Dreame would be better value, no?

    • +3

Yes , Roborock isnt a "value" brand, more a premium brand.

“ Not as good as last roborock deal…”

So what you are saying is that this is not a bargain?

    • +5

I you want to buy this unit now - then what it sold for 3 months ago doesn't affect whether this is a bargain now …
it shows it is not the best historic deal …
I think the op is doing us all a favour to both post this deal and point out the historic context…
if there was another offer on this machine that was cheaper and active - then this would not be worthy of posting…

i think that all makes sense…

“ then what it sold for 3 months ago doesn't affect whether this is a bargain now …
it shows it is not the best historic deal …”

By that definition, things being sold at RRP today (or above or whatever price) with no other pricing in the market, that also may or may not have been on sale at some point ARE a bargain as well.

        • ignoring cashback, this is $70 more than prev deal. It is substantially lower than RRP so your incorrectly extrapolated argument makes no sense here.

if you're in the market for one now, this is the price to get it at (unless you can find it cheaper elsewhere)

If you're not in the market for one, don't buy it.

          simple.

          • @andresampras: I disagree, but I also know this argument has been hashed out ad nauseam around here and the conclusion is that OzB is more of a popularity contest than a bargain site anymore. 🤷‍♂️

            • @LockedUpLotionClown: So the fact this price is ~$130 cheaper than anywhere else currently STILL doesn't make it a bargain, in your eyes?

Would it have to be equal to or cheaper than the cheapest historical price for it to be a bargain?

              Genuine question

  • So is panda edition, the 2 colours or a new name for a import model

    • It's just two different colours for the machine / dock
