Flipper Zero Deal? - Deleted As Spam

I noticed someone posted a deal for the Flipper Zero at $219 AUD, but they spam posted the deal, so I can't see where to get it. Does anyone know?

  • Love mine

    • Care to say what you do with yours ?

      • Sure, I've owned it since February (ordered on Joom in November 2022) and 90% of the time I use it is spent walking thru the work carpark flipping the ports of around 7 Tesla's. It's a shame that the port is only open for 5 to 7 minutes. I love it when the owner is close to the car.

The other 10% is scanning the odd NFC card which I come across. My office, Gym and office carpark use a card type called "Mifare Classic 1K" where if I wanted to, I could copy the card and give it out no problems. Also the type of Card reader I've found plays a lot into the fact if it can be fooled by an emulated card or not.

My Home access card looks the same as a Classic 1K card but is a card technology called "Mifare DESfire" which from what I read can't emulated which is a bummer as I really wanted to have the flipper open up my residence. Also forget about Garage Doors with rolling codes.

The one surprise I found, game cards at Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq had literally zero security. However theft is still theft and you have to be close to someone to skim their game card.

Call me nuts but I just find in interesting. I will say for almost everything you see on YouTube, it will be running a jailbroken Firmware. The FlipperZero OOTB firmware is restrictive but they are open about this online. Search FlipperZero Sub-GHz frequencies.

Back in uni days the buses where I lived used this for their cards and once the encryption was easily broken ….

It was certainly profitable transferring uni door cards to NFC wristbands.

        • How about nintendo amibos?

          • @leiiv: I don't own any to test, otherwise I would.

I wish deleted deals stuck around somewhere so we could still look and discuss them. Even if visibility were limited to logged in users only. It is annoying too when you get a comment reply notification but you can't see what the comment was because the thread was deleted. I think us seasoned users are experienced enough to be able to look at and comment on spam without being suckered into buying it.
