I just paid $989 for the Grange 2018 at Dan Murphy last month!!!

    • Do you plan on drinking it? or is it more for an investment?

Nono it's for my friend as a gift, he loves collecting these. I know nothing about wines..

          Can I be your friend?

  • Something something cooking wine.

That's a surprisingly low price, but Grange isn't the great investment it was. It's unlikely to get more value back than the cost of storing it properly over the next decade or so and who knows what the long term market looks like (probably the UK being a great place to grow wine, so maybe a good grange will be a rarity thanks to climate change ruining it here).

    • The 5x archer's road bullseye is the real deal.

grange is a blend, so treasury estate can draw on fruit from more than one vineyard to ensure a consistent product and also ensures enough quantity is made ….in the longer term the public’s palate changes ….. and grange has adjusted over the years as have many french and italian wines…. it’s just in the top 3 australian wines along with hill of grace and they are all in that price bracket and price wise not bad compared to some french wines in a good vintage …

i haven’t bought any since 1990, when release it was $110 bottle, won an international al award, went to $500 within a week and the rest is history …. but yeah the double your money in a couple of years on grand disappeared with the 1990 price hike ….

  • What a great price! Too slow, nooo
