  • My thoughts a bit small.

And no handle on the dustbin part is a little bit weird? Don't try and reinvent the wheel Mr Oxo! Though most of their other stuff is great.

Soft, comfortable handle is angled for countertop use…

The handle mentioned is for the brush. The dustpan has no handle.

      Dream big

    • Perfect size for the kitchen table, benches and counters to brush crumbs and dirt off before proper wiping. I see it as a good little device for small surfaces in the household. Thanks OP. Bought 1.

The word 'compact' is there for a reason.

Perfect for benchtops and smaller areas. Have mine next to the coffee machine/grinder for clean up of spent grinds.

OXO have a larger size pairing for those needing something bigger.

      • The word "compact" could also be there as they couldn't be bothered attaching a handle. However, then it wouldn't look so much like it had a cutting edge design and it was class leading and unique and we all need to have it, when we all could actually get by with a damp cloth.

By the time you pull this thing out, do the little sweep up, and then empty it and possibly give it a little needed cleanout at the end, then you could have wiped the bench. Twice.

      • Any good value suggestion for a cheap knock box? I have a little round one, but coffee grounds go unfortunately too many times everywhere around. Need a bigger and square solution. I see there’s a Breville one, but $40 for such a thing is a bit too much imo.

As small as this compact set!

I use this for kitchen benches, and tables only. It's great.

      • -1

Do you have a granite benchtop?

I want to use this with that, but I'm scared it'll scratch it?

        • +7

Not sure if JK or what, but there's no way this plastic brush scratches anything harder than cake icing.

          • +2

@pizzaguy: Haha I actually wasn't joking, just trying to be ultra careful with it. Thanks!

I do like both of their dustpan sets. Just waiting (could be forever) for their Sweep Set with Extendable Broom to drop down from the ludicrous price they are now to a more "reasonable" price. I'm sure they'll still be expensive but I'm willing to pay a bit more for OXO stuff.

You and I take one for $30 each, that’s fair! 2 left in stock!

Camelcamelcamel price history to show how this item's price has gone from reasonably expensive to stupidly so.

      • Also have to look at 3rd parties which usually but not necessarily means Amazon US. It's more reasonably priced there but sometimes items don't have postage included. Just playing the waiting game for now.

Thought I had selected 3rd party too, obviously not though. Glad you picked that up.
Have to agree with you on the postage charges - it's definitely necessary to check the total price as some of the postage costs can be ridiculously high.

          • @Grunntt: Especially for things like this it seems. I'm pretty sure postage is like $100 or something as it's bulky?? I've seen some things that usually have really high postage get free postage via Prime all of a sudden like the pizza stone we bought so I'm hoping it happens for this too.

I recommend, great little set for $10 ish.

  • Plenty of small dust pans on Ali express or Temu for a few bucks.

  • +1

    thanks. ordered

  • The argument 'you get what you pay for' does not apply to stuff like this mostly. I'av noticed that most of the stuff like this that gets sold on Amazon comes with inflated pricing hoping that Aussies are happy to pay more for the same thing. If you look closely it is pretty much drop shipping. Same stuff can be bought of Ali or Temu for a few bucks. That is If you can wait a week or 2.

    • +1

      Totally agreed.

there's no way this is worth $24 originally.

You guys are being fooled by marketing tactics.

As I mentioned Above K mart has $1 dust pans and fancier ones for half the price of this.

Good for a caravan or camper.

Also this bigger version for $16.07

  • At first I thought it would be a great add-on to my Dyson V8 to pick up what the vacuum can't.

But given the amount of stuff V8 leaves behind or scatters around, I'll just go for a bigger dustpan.

  • I use it to scoop my dogs vomit up and rinse it in laundry sink. Meets my use case

  • +1

Temped to get but worried about clutter 😂

  • https://www.amazon.com.au/Oxo-Good-Grips-Dustpan-Brush/dp/B0… - this one seems a bit bigger and is also half off

    • +1

It's really good, but it was $11.47 in August 2022 when I bought it. Sadly my ex got it when we broke up, but now I don't want to pay $16 for the same thing…

  • Have this, use it for all the food/crumbs my kids drop under the dining table…

    • should get a dog

  • +1

Got last year. Leave it in the door of the car and use it to brush brush out accumulated mess from the kids, or a post 4x4 dirt / playground desanding. No handle on the pan is perfect for storage there. Quality vs cheap pan / brush noticeable. The bristles aren’t flaring out like an old toothbrush after a solid year of use and soft and long enough to get into most spots

    • Nice, I bought one but wasn't really sure why. This'll be perfect for the car!

  • I don't understand this. The amount of upvotes for something that imo, is no better of functionality than a cheap $2-5 one purchased elsewhere. Is it just the brand name or a current trend to buy expensive and way over-priced stuff or does this lay a golden egg? No wonder why interest rates keep going up!

    • +2

I've just received mine and it feels like a high-end MBP vs an old Acer laptop.

I'm sure it's going to last, won't break when I accidentally kick it and it was only a couple of bucks more.

  • back in stock at $11.99 which despite the 50% off label is normal price according to the camels
