Number of Checked Luggage to Japan on Qantas?

Does anyone know how many pieces of luggage I can check in on Qantas to Japan? Rewards seat if that matters. On the website it says

For tickets issued with an allowance in kilograms only, there is no restriction on the number of pieces within the weight allowance for international travel.

Does that mean I can check in multiple bags as long as it's under 32kg in total? Doesn't clearly state on my ticket

Thanks

  • Just came back recently and we had no issues with 2 checked bags each on the same sort of tickets. Just stay within the total weight limits of course!

    • I did 2 checked baggage bags with Qantas, totaled wiegh of less than 18kg in April from Denpasar.

    • Yes I looked at the website. Have a look at my post.

        On the Qantas site;
        "For tickets issued with an allowance in kilograms only, there is no restriction on the number of pieces within the weight allowance for international travel."

        • Yes I stated that in my post.

          It's not clear if my ticket is issued with an allowance in kilograms only, doesn't specify clearly. Wanted to check with anyone who's been to Japan recently

          • @spammingb: What's the wording on your ticket?

              @sumyungguy: Have a look at his post.

              • @altomic: What am I missing? I don't think OP has shared the luggage allowance on his ticket, just says it's unclear…

          • @spammingb: You have no restrictions. You can have 2 x 16kg bags, or 3 x 10.6kg bags, or 4x 8kg bags, or you could have any combination like 3 x 10kg bags and 1 x 2 kg bag.

  • Log into your booking. Does your allowance say 32kg? If so, then yes you can take as many pieces as you want, up to 32kg.
