    Just be prepared for:

    1. Long Shipping
    2. The possibility that it's a fake. (According to hundreds of people on Google reviews)
    3. Delayed responses from customer service

When I ordered 2 months ago I luckily avoided the 3 but it's worth noting anyway.

    PS: Sort of a dupe.

    • Ive used them a few times. 10-15 day to Aus and all genuine with serials. Worst prob ive had is an email after ive purchased re Out of Stock and a package that was slightly scuffed.
All in all i'd highly rate them to anyone

About 2yrs ago I didnt recieve my item so i opened a dispute with paypal and got my money back but then 3-4momths later the perfume arrived. I also purchased one about 3years ago for my brother in turkey and they never recieved but I had payed with visa and customer setvice didnt help me out at all and wouldnt refund. So pay with paypal or dont purchase from them and better off going with strawberrynet.com most prices are the same and skin products like clinique are way cheaper

      • Yes, if you are desperate to buy from FragranceX despite all warnings here, at least make sure that you use Paypal and do not forget that you have 45 days to dispute a transaction.

RE:Alienzzz, the customs in Turkey does not let pretty much any online purchases in. I don't quite know why but so far 2 gifts I have sent through Amazon disappeared without a trace. My theory is that there is no "under $1000 tax free" kind of thing.

I am not a authority on perfumes but someone once told me that EDP is better than EDT.

As a comparision, the Chanel here is EDT

    http://www.fragrancex.com/products/_cid_perfume-am-lid_C-am-…

    and here is EDP

    http://au.strawberrynet.com/perfume/chanel/coco-mademoiselle…

Diff is $7 - strawberrynet is free shipping - under 5 days from experience.

Strawberrynet has surcharge of 10% shipping on fragrances now. Makeup is free

      • Ah… no way, really? When did this happen?

EDP is not always better than EDT. It depends on an individuals preference. Almost all the time, an EDP will smell entirely different to the EDT-equivalent.

      • +1

EDP tends to be the better quality (and therefore more expensive) fragrance and contains about 50% more aromatic compounds than EDT. This means that the fragrance will hang around longer. But having the higher aromatic compound content also means that it is going to smell different - like you said. So it is still a matter of preference. There is no point in getting an EDP just because it's going to last longer if you don't like the smell.

        • True, and there's not always an EDP version of a particular fragrance.
On a side note, can you imagine if there was an EDP version of A Men by Theirry Mugler? o_0

        • Can't say I've ever seen a men's fragrance come in EDP, only EDT. Seems to be a fair amount of EDP in women's fragrances though.

Thanks OP. Made an order and hope to get it in about 2 to 3 weeks.

By the way, the code FREE69… made me overexcited for a moment there….

  • I purchased from fragrancex a couple of years ago and it took 6 weeks using the free standard shipping. The product was genuine. If you're buying a gift, buy 2 months in advance or else pay the extra for DHL shipping.

  • I've ordered twice from them products are genuine but delivery took ages like 2 months or more!
customer response are bad as well

  • Ordered from them once. The product never arrived. It took 4 months to get my money back.

  • I normally buy from eBay… Hope they weren't fake :S !

  • My wife and I have been buying from them for several years now. Every purchase has arrived intact, all have been genuine (Unlike buying from the perfume trolley vendors on the road sides around New York city, as they all looked like genuine items, but were not).
Delivery varies from just over a week to nearly two months. You should always check the local stores first as sometimes they come in cheaper (Like when Chemist Warehouse at Whitfords Shopping Center WA were selling: Paco Rabanne, Mens, 1 Million, in 100ml at $48 per bottle about a year ago, damn bargain of the year).
I have never needed to use FragranceX customer service to comment on it.
As for EDT and EDP, one of the strongest perfumes (to my nose) is an EDT that my wife uses called Dolce Vita by Christian Dior. And it is very long lasting too. You really have to pick the one you like by testing them out yourself. I also find that if you like a perfume that is an EDT and then buy the EDP you may find that it has different smells (Like Opium in EDT and EDP, I prefer the EDT)

Just to echo the long delivery times already mentioned…. Have ordered twice and both times the shipping has been incredibly long….. long enough to make me think the item would not arrive, (and outside the paypal dispute window).
Personally, I now prefer to pay a bit more….. it's not worth the hassle.

  • So what's the normal costs for regular shipping? Just curious..

  • Anyone know why I get charged about $5-$7 extra on top of the stated price with discount? I've tried both pay pal and credit card options. On the page it says it's all in AUD so I technically shouldn't be getting charged more.

    • I also experienced this as well. Perhaps a surcharge for transporting flammable goods? Even then, they should state it on their website.

  • Received my two perfumes shipped on the 14th via DHL express. Very happy.

    • Was $44 for premium shipping worth it for 2 perfumes? i still couldn't justify it buying 3 perfumes

      • It wasn't premium shipping. It was the standard shipping which was free if you spent $65. Well I was only going to buy one perfume but ended up buying two to qualify for the coupon. Nevertheless if I was to buy both these perfumes retail in store, it would've cost 3x as much.

        • Ahh.. well that gives me hope. I thought they went with some other company if you didn't take the express option.

        • Apparently my package was sent by Global Mail Air Service.
Is this the same email message you got?

"In order to provide you with the lowest cost shipping to your country your order was shipped by air, but without a tracking number.

We appreciate your patience as your package leaves the USA by air, clears customs in your country, and is delivered to your address.

Thank you for your patience as we have no way to track your package once it leaves our warehouse."
