Roland FP-30X Digital Piano $889 (Was $1099) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ to BNE, SYD, CBR, MEL, ADL) @ Australian Piano Warehouse

250

Apparently a great beginner's digital piano!

I have been eyeing off one of these for a year or two and have tried it in a store nearby. Most of the time it sits around 1199 or 1099, sometimes higher.

The lowest I've seen it go was over $900 earlier in the year.

I got free next day shipping to Adelaide from their interstate warehouse which makes it a much better deal than some of the local stores.

A few other stores have the same price online, my guess is it's probably one supplier with multiple brands (maybe?!).

Great pianos second hand available, pickued up a near new one for $400 on facebook marketplace the other day

    • Yeah, I think depends on where you are! I saw a FP-30 for sale for $600 a while back but it got snapped up quickly. Less piano players in SA it seems!

This is pretty good value from a reputable bricks and mortar store. Preferred this over the equivalent yamaha/casio/kawaii. Imo Roland has the better key action of all the brands at this price point.

    • That's what I read and heard from checking out a lot of reviews, seems to be the favourite.

Now I need a stand - any recommendations? Is an X stand okay or does that get in the way compared to a proper wooden one or Z stand?

The wooden stand is the best I reckon, but if you want to be able to move it around easily, the Z or X stands may be better.
Personally, I went with the Z stand and love it

        • I think a Z will work for me! Did you get the Roland brand one or just something random?

          • @OpenHand: I've got the Rholand one, it's super solid, highly recommend it!
If you get some other brand, make sure it's good quality, this piano it's fairly heavy (like most in its class) and last thing you want is a cheap stand woobling around while you play or worst!

    • I agree. I compared between this, Yamaha, Casio and Kawai models in the same price range and the FP-30X has the best action.

  • Excellent piano (I've got one last year), action keys are indeed the best among the others in this price range (including others a tad more expensive)
Definitely a great beginner and intermediate piano

    • Yep, a few stores seem to have it at the moment. Wonder if it's going EOL.
