I use an older model of this for my router.

Keeps me online during a blackout.

    • Do you run this for both NBN and router, if yes how long has it lasted with both items plugged in?

      • +1

Yep. Ive not had a blackout longer than a few hours before, so ive not tested the peak runtime sorry.

    • Doesn't NBN go out during a blackout?

      • Nope, they should have an ups at the endpoint. Not sure how long they will last though.. likely have generators for after, hopefully you have someone in your area that needs nbn for life saving device

  • Isn't it normal price with movie voucher?

    • $109 is the normal price.

  • Thinking about grabbing this sucker for $139 using an ebay plus $20 voucher

    • Thanks. I was looking Santak UPS and this design looks very similar. Any idea if this one can communicate & turn off NAS properly when power outage occurs?

      • +1

People on the r/synology talk about the Eatons working fine with their NAS.

      • If it has USB then it should

With the usb port there is likely a way. I managed to get a ION ups purchased at Bunnings for $108 to work with home assistant via the NUT UPS add on. Reason being the HA server also has a zfs pool. I’m now able to use the ups to both provide power and automate a shutdown ensuring no data loss. Happy to share how if you go that route.

  • Anyone found an invoice to upload to apcclaims site?

    • Normally an email around the time of the Aus post shipping acceptance email with 'kai seng computer solution' via ebay (potentially search email for that term) with a PDF invoice attached.

  • Has anyone else been able to submit the form on the apcclaims site? The Submit button doesn't work for me, just spins a loading indicator endlessly.
