    Yeelight is better as this doesn't have a wireless remote, having said that it's selling for $90 on AliExpress, so don't think paying that much of a premium for the remote is worth it.

      The Xiaomi branded one (same company as Yeelight afaik, just black rather than silver) is $60-70 locally, which is much better value.

          @adr8: Ah, there's the difference. Xiaomi has blank back, Blitzwolf and the more expensive Yeelight model have an RGB back for glowy wall.

          All have adjustable colour temp on the main light.

          @superforever: Literal colour finish over the metal frame. Xiaomi is painted (anodised?) black and the Yeelight silver.

          adr8 pointed out (which I missed) the more expensive version of the Yeelight (and this Blitzwolf) also has RGB mood lighting on the back. I personally don't want that. Both have adjustable colour temp on the main light.

              @superforever: Ad says long pressing the remote puck toggles ambient lighting.

              I only have the Xiaomi (remote puck, no ambient RGB), which I am very happy with.

    My room lighting is inadequate as my desk is a small portable table in the corner of my bedroom. When I work late it’s nice to have a light on my keyboard and notes and the backlight on the wall is actually good too

    When I am hand-writing in front of the computer, the room light is behind me, so I cast a shadow.
    I either need a tall desk lamp that takes up space or one of these that doesn't.

  Wish they could make a true 1000R curved monitor bar light. The ones available aren't quite a true curve…. the ends of the light either taper in towards the monitor or out away for the monitor, creating just a weird light shining with reflection.
