Anyone have a Yale Unity Security Screen Door Lock?

I’m wanting to move to electronic door locks and my front screen door (keyed) lock is dying - so thinking of upgrading to this. The idea is to eventually do the solid front door as well.
They are expensive ( about $400 from the big green shed) so interested to get feedback from anyone that has one before I pay this amount.
Open to other brands etc if there are better ones out there.

  • Hi, I've been pointed in your direction and we're both after similar things, I've also posted a link on my post to another option.

  • Since you currently don't have a solid door smart lock, the Yale Unity might work better for you, if you don't mind not having a key pad on the screen door unit.
The reason being if you also get the Yale Unity solid door lock, I think they can be synced (with the hub) so that when you unlock the screen door, the solid door lock will automatically unlock, and vice versa.

I already have another branded smart lock on my solid door so that doesn't help me.

  • I’ll look into that, it might be a neat solution.👍

i just installed one last week, pretty straight forward install, app works ok.
bought a refurbished one from amazon for $300 which looks new.
well worth the upgrade, i just wish it has fingerprint scanner so i dont have to bring the nfc tag or a phone as well.

    • I've just installed the lock today. Lift to lock doesn't work and I get an "invalid" type tone when I try to use the provided key fob to unlock the door. The firmware was updated too while going through the setup process in the Yale Home app and still not working.

Lock/unlock through the app and internal buttons work fine.

      • Rang Yale for support and was told that the lift to lock function only works if the door has a 3-point lock. Also, the key fob needs to be registered through the app in order for it to work.
