This or 36 professionally done pizzas delivered to my door?

    • +9

I don't know if I'd call teenagers throwing pizzas onto an automatic conveyer belt oven "professionals".

      • At $909.10 / 36 ~= $25 per pizza it might be actually a proper pizza.

However, even if the delivery is free (because you ordered 36), it's going to be soggy and ruined once delivered, so you waste your money on something that's hard to appreciate.

So I'd say buy this oven or order 72 mediocre, more delivery-proof pizzas.

        • Good for a pizzaguy

However, if home chef exhibits poor culinary skills we get delivery-proof, low-quality pizza!

      • Nah that would be 180 Domino's peperonis on thin.

        • Perhaps 3 months ago. Now $7 apiece.

This 100%, but there are better ovens more expensive

  • Even if tjid might be the best pizza oven, wow that price

    Delivery killing this deal.

    • +1

      $10… absolutely outrageous.

I wouldn’t pay more than –$5 to get this delivered to my door.

      • +1

If it is delivered late do you get it free?

  • Try price match at Harvey Norman.

  • I've nearly bought one so many times, but I'm trying to lose weight. Trying.

    • My local Cashies had one on-hand for months, started at $600, resolved I would buy it under $500, marked down to $350 and I still resisted. I feared a component failure outside their 3-month warranty, so spent less on a Monro gas oven from Coles

Good job. I've had 3 of these replaced under warranty. Wouldn't touch another one.

        • Do you know if that's a common experience? I've always wanted one but not at these sort of prices, but if they commonly fail… maybe not.

$350 I would've got it definitely! (without knowing issues).

          • @sssx: The first one I bought was on recommendation from a forum called pizza making.com. It is very highly regarded over there and people seem to be using them in a semi commercial capacity for catering and food trucks etc. It's worth noting that people over there regard it as good value in the US where it is sold for $900USD. Comparatively it is much cheaper here but people still complain about the price.

Regarding the reliability I haven't seen too many issues mentioned on that forum so I may just be an outlier but personally I wouldn't touch another

        • I've had 3 of these replaced under warranty. Wouldn't touch another one.

3 Pizzaiolo? what was wrong with them?

          • @tonester: First one electrical failure, stopped heating beyond 150 degrees. Second one electrical fire had to carry it out of my house mid cook. They gave me a third and I returned it unopened because I didn't want another fire risk in my house.

I now have a gozney dome (outside)

Hahahaha people be smoking the pipe buying these

  • You really gotta love pizza and value the convenience, not have any space/hate the outdoors to grab this over an outdoor one at 1/2 the price.

  • How many times should I be using this to break even compared to buying a decent pizza from local shops

    • Depends the sort of deal you can get at your local pizza shop……

    • i’m into smoked salmon or prosciutto pizza …..never cheap at a local typically $20-25 once you get the boutique toppings …. so make pizza at home …..have a $120 clam shell style pizza maker , and the monro …haven’t fired the monro up yet ……

  • +1

    400°C, nice.
Pity you can't bake a loaf of bread in it.

    • +1

Only if there was winrar for bread, like there is for pop corn.

Grab one of the $350 gas ovens from BBQs galore + a gas bottle, and have several hundred in change for baller ingredients.

  • Great indoor pizza oven which can cook wood fire style pizza

I'm not disputing this is a well regarded pizza oven but wood fire style come from…well…burning wood. Good electric pizza oven but you'll get no wood/smoke flavour.

FWIW the eBay specifications state 120W

    • -1

one you are burning hot embers and the sap is burned off you don’t get smoke flavour …..you get high heat ……

      • I think you'll find a wood fire pizza oven is frequently having wood added and rarely burning 100% hot embers.

They make terrible pizza, buy an ooni.

  • An ooni or Roccbox would be cheaper to purchase and perform much better, if you had the option.

    • +3

Roccbox doesn't offer an electric oven.

      • thanks captain

best pizza oven that does not require you to spend 20 mins heating it up and measuring temps, and then having to turn your pizza half way thru cooking. read reviews for further confirmation
