Don't order appliances from Samsung store. They have horrible delivery time line and if you miss delivery or have issues, it takes 2 to 3 months to even get your money back.

      This.

TLDR: If you need your dryer quickly, don't bother.

We ordered a washer and dryer and after two 'confirmed' delivery dates cam and went, we finally took delivery about 6 weeks after order. We foolishly also ordered a TV a couple of weeks after we placed the washer/dryer order. We're two months in after the order date, two 'confirmed' delivery dates missed, multiple phone calls to 'support' to find out where we're at and nothing. They can't tell me where the TV is nor when we'll get it delivered. They promise escalation but no one ever calls back. Luckily we have an existing TV so it's just a massive PITA getting stuffed around constantly and waiting on deliveries that never arrive.

  • Any deals from non educational

    • Was same price last week in government multistore too. With the $200 off for combination of front load washer purchase too.

      • Most people don't have access to those

        • Most people have a family member/friend with either a school/uni email address I would've thought.

And customer service / repairs is awful

  • Anyone having issues getting past the 2FA screen on EPP login?

    • Took forever last week to actually get through store login on Chrome phone browser. Kept getting errors.

      • Worked out that it was NextDNS that was the culprit, preventing the 2FA Page from doing what it needed to do (trigger 2FA code delivery at the back end and wait for a code to be entered).

  • I bought this same model tgrough the edu store, ordered around 20th april and delivered today. (devliery was delayed from may 5th, 1 business day).

That was my experience, not suggesting anyone else will be the same.

    • Yeah mine took about 2 weeks to be delivered. Not a huge deal in the scheme of things.

  • I ordered this and matching washer in the earlier deal too. They missed the first delivery window, but delivered fine about 2 weeks later.

I don't know how it can take nearly a month for whitegoods to get from Sydney to Brisbane, but that's what they reckon.

Happy with the appliances themselves - especially at the discounted price.

  • Will this toast my house like some of their older models did?

    • Much less likely with heat pump driers

  • Thanks Op, have you seen any cheaper deals, money is bit tight atm

To be honest that's about as a cheap as it gets for a Samsung heat pump. Even the white one is only $70 cheaper. it's way cheaper to buy a non-heat pump dryer but i think it's a false economy as they cost so much more to run.

      • Thanks I was looking for one about $700!, might be cheaper to buy an dear heat pump machine than running a cheaper heat pump uses more power, in saying that I have solar power in the house, not sure if that helps…

I waited 8 months for a refund and had multiple phone calls to Samsung after they ran out of stock for a hand held vac. I would stay away from the online store.

    • OMG, 8 months? Wow. That's insane. I'm very close to cancelling my TV order. I shudder to think how long it'll take them to refund my money. I don't know how they get away with it. I've had some pretty average service through my lifetime but my Samsung experience is an absolute all-time low by a good margin. It beggars belief that it's one of the largest companies in the world. Someone needs to initiate a class action lawsuit against these crooks.

On special at Harvey Norman currently for $173 more for anyone not wanting to wait.

  • I have this unit and I wouldn't recommend it as the drum only spins one way during the drying cycle. I have tried different modes like bedsheets when drying sheets and they always end up in a ball. I'm happy to be corrected on this! It does spin the opposite direction during the start of the cycle when the machine is evaluating the load.
I had an LG unit prior to this one and it would reverse the direction of the drum for a few spins which was enough to stop the sheets becoming a ball.

  • Pulled the trigger on this one, and confirmation says will be delivered in 11 days total [including weekends]…

    • Nice. Did you buy a washing machine with it?

      • nope, already have a Samsung washer
