Singapore Airlines Lounge Pass - Sydney

I have Googled but can't find this information. Is it possible to buy lounge passes at Sydney Airport (I have a flight booked with Singapore Airlines in August). If so, where do I find the pricing? I can find it for Singapore but we only have a 2 hour stopover there so it's not worth buying one for there. Thank you.

That's weird, they operate their own Krisflyer lounge right next to the giant NZ one.

Is it possible to buy lounge passes for Singapore Airlines at Sydney Airport (I have a flight booked with them in August).

    Pretty sure it's a no.

    Lounge access is only for:

    • Business class passengers on Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance flights
    • Premium economy or economy passengers on Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance flights holding KrisFlyer Elite Gold or equivalent Star Alliance Gold status, or Singapore Airlines’ PPS Club membership
    • Premium economy or economy passengers on Singapore Airlines flights holding Virgin Australia Velocity Gold or Platinum status

If you have an Amex card, try the Centurion Lounge instead.

      This!

From memory, if you're not a business/first class traveller (or eligible otherwise) the lounge you can access in Changi airport is not a Krisflyer lounge but one of the other pay per use lounges they have

  • Most international terminals will have pay per use lounges, may not be a Singapore branded one, but will likely be the same sandwiches and bottom shelf liquor served at all.

    • I thought there'd be a pay per lounge in Sydney but can't find one. We have no status or Amex card unfortunately.

honestly, one google search and first result was this… seriously, are you an adult? I want you to wear big girl pants please.

        • No need to be rude. I was looking for a Singapore Airlines lounge - sorry I was not clear - and on my Google search I could not find one. I was hoping someone knew more. The place you mention (which I found on my Google search) is not available during the time I need it. But thank you for your input.

          • @cinogirl: I thought the last part of my sentence soften the tone but clearly not…

You can't buy pass into Singapore Airlines as another OZB has already said.

The other option is this credit card which has no fees for the first year. You will be able to access the Singapore lounge. Read the T&Cs as you need to spend $4K in the first 90 days to get the status. Its a no brainer given no fees incurred. Thank me later.

  • There are other options to get into lounges - priority pass, dragon pass.. different membership tiers or pay as you go prices.

consider dragon pass if you want single entry…

  • Totally wouldn't bother with lounges if it's not free, but if you do insist, the Citibank Prestige card is $375 for a year and comes with unlimited Priority Pass which'll give you + guest to The House (….sometimes) and $36 each to spend at Peroni Bar and Mach2. You can even check in to all of them with the same boarding pass.

I haven't been to any of their lounges in Singapore but there's plenty there to choose from.

Put a notice on here with your flight details and maybe an OzB member with status that is travelling on that flight may guest you entry. It's a longshot but you never know your luck in the big city.

When I was a QF Platinum member, I guested a few people into the First Class lounge as a random act of kindness. The reverse has never happened to me though.

    • I have always wanted to get into the QF Syd F lounge, are the salt n pepper squid all it's cracked up to be?
Also thank you for being one of the nice guys!

It's pretty bloody good. A few years ago, I guested a woman who turned out to be a Hmong refugee from Burma. She spent the 90 minutes re-ordering chocolate ice cream and taking selfies of herself to no doubt recount the story to others. It doesn’t cost me anything, so I'm happy to help out other battlers.

      • Had the salt and pepper squid last week and it was nice but nothing to rave about, the signature pavlova dessert on the other hand was amazing!

        • Ahh one day when the kids grow up I might have enough points to book an f reward. Will have to book something flying BNE Syd int though
