Breville The TempSet Kettle – Grey $69 Delivered @ Target

380

I was looking for a Breville kettle with temperature setting and found this on sale. Decent price for a good kettle with temperature setting.

Available in other colours:
Grey (limited stock?) - https://www.target.com.au/p/breville-the-tempset-kettle-grey…

Blue - https://www.target.com.au/p/breville-the-tempset-trade-kettl…

Same model but different colours available at full price at JB Hifi and Good Guys. They probably won't price match as it's a different colour.

I like the feature where it leaks all over your bench lol

    • We have one for a few years now and thankfully it hasn't leaked!

      • Is it stainless steel or plastic?
        Thanks

@meong: Strange, have had the expensive glass one for what must be 7-8 years now and still running strong.

Whats with the AI generated responses? This isn't the place…

        • I did a Google search and not AI, I found the question pretty interesting and was hoping to find something relating to the pressure level or something. Anyway downvoting give many people good feeling, glad I made 6 happier today. Faaaaaar out ..

@harrysab: hmm a copy paste from google is not a whole lot better, but if it makes you feel better i didnt downvote you.

      • Thanks lingy

    • 2400 Watts heating 1.7 L of water from 20°C to 100°C would take around 237 seconds in theory.

Breville got 2 models for temperature set, this one https://www.target.com.au/p/breville-the-multi-temp-kettle-l…, not on sale. Not sure what the difference between these..

  • What's a Target?

  • Reviews don't sound great. "Beeping Machine"

    • This. One of the sensor (not sure which) is very temperamental and would shut the kettle immediately. I often had to re-position & re-start multiple times before it starts heating up properly. And then it just keeps on boiling until I turn it off manually.

If you are one of those who only wants a boiling water, just get a simpler model.

  • Breville - The Terrible.

  • This one at Target is possibly - also has a more useful temperature range of 70, 80, 90, 100.

    Save yourself some more cash.

Bought the Kogan smart wifi kettle instead

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-smarterhome-17l-smart-ket…

Have the Kmart Anko smart wifi kettle atm but unavailable as of now. Very convenient kettle as I can schedule power on times and tell Alexa/Google to turn it on. Wanted one for parents but only the Kogan one available at the similar price point.

  • Looks the same as the one I bought at ALDI a few months ago.

  • Can it boil my water to a cool 101⁰C?

Try adding 116g of salt to the water!

  • Was going to buy it but read the reviews. Great kettle but you cant turn off the beeping sound and its very loud apparently. See why its on sale

  • We use this one for our tea and it is absolutely excellent!

  • Looking for a Heymix brand kettle ;)

  • I've had a similar Breville kettle for 10 years. Love it! Still going strong.

  • Do people aside from parents with small kids use this function a lot? Seem like a waste for me

I do, different teas require different temperatures. If you don't drink different teas, it probably won't matter for you!
