Any good hifi speakers on sale?

    • KEF LS50 Wireless II (Pair, Carbon Black) https://amzn.asia/d/ax0GCO4

      • Kef is the Last speaker I would get.
        Rather get the wharfdale Lintons.

        • Happy to help with Wharfdale Lintons. Send me a DM and we can work out pricing for you :)

        • +1

          Why’s that?

          • @nexus4: Overpriced and overrated for the price. Way better speakers out there for 4k.

            • +1

@Atomik17: Probably but when you add amplifie/pre-amp/streamer etc you're looking at well over $4k…

  • Hmm
$749 USD for one individual RP-8000II unit on quick google

    • -1

      Massively overpriced in Australia

      • -1

We always get ripped in oz

        • +5

$749 USD is per speaker on the US Klipsch website which works out to $2222.55 AUD per pair

Then have to take into account taxes & shipping

  • Anything from sonus faber?

  • I want add 2 rear surround atmos speakers (not ceiling) to my avr. Any suggestions?

    • Could look at the Krix Dynamix they are a great option !

      https://www.westcoasthifi.com.au/shop/speakers/home-theatre/…

      • Very high respect for Krix speakers. Highly underrated by the general Australian public, or maybe they have just never heard of them and Australian made. Consider them the R,M. Williams of speakers. They supply thousands of cinemas with their speakers. Seriously, if you have a chance, just audition some. I am positive that you will not be disappointed. And, no I have no affiliation with Krix, but my brother has a couple of their speakers and they are very, very good.

  • So do you need a sub or centre to go with these?

    • It will all depend on the system you are wanting to build and achieve

    • Centre will depend on the size of your room and number of viewers. You might be fine with a phantom centre from the LR.

Sub is only a must if you want the deep sound. Basically no speaker will match the response of a good sub, nor it’s freedom of placement.

  • Any true class A mono block amplifiers

  • Hi guys, does anyone have experience with wireless speaker kits? What I mean is, the kits that make something like this wireless?

Are they any good? It's about the only way I can hook up a Dolby Atmos system in my home. Just wondering if it's feasible over a sound bar.

    • +1

Wireless kits have had some reliability issues in the past and I am not aware of any that are fantastic (unless others know).
