Yes, I got this for my kid and IMHO it's easily the best value set around for kids and also the best way to learn how to actually play, and it has Pikachu which obviously any kid needs.
I bought this and the 2x trainer decks above. Maybe overkill but I already bought a 900 card folder, so it will be half full now 😅

these are boosters, random cards, hard to make a set unless u buy heaps (like hundreds)

Pokemon GO is a nice small set which is fun to collect (for kids?).Good deals on the build and battle stadium packs at $40 too

189 is nothing compared to most collectors editions that cost 300 or more.
Yes but they usually have a statue or something substantial. This one is poor value.
It's a steel poster and comes with a steelbook case too. :) I still wouldn't pay that much for it but I do like the stuff.

Don't buy from Amazon, many comments stating they received re-sealed products, all valuable cards stolen.
Rarely happens. Maybe moreso in the US. Totally overblown but very easy to see if it's been resealed
