1.No nasty PWM. zero percievable PWM shooting the light into a fan.. great driver!
2.fit and finish is pretty good
3.Nicely spaced modes
High - Over 2 amps on a 4.7v lmr ..same on a unprotected 4.17v Tenergy
Med - 0.65 about 25% of max

  • Which series Cree LED does it have? XP-E? XP-G? XM-L?

    • +1

It looks very similar if not the same as this one - http://www.meritline.com/1000-lumen-cree-xm-l-t6-led-flashli… - which is an XM-L. But that's just a guess.

Hrm, this is Q5, the one I linked is T6 … bah who knows.

Researching it a bit, if it's a Q5 it can't be XM-L … I think. It should be XB-D or XP-E or XB-G2. Man this stuff is confusing.

    • It's an XR-E emitter.

  • Anyone have any details on how long the battery life is on this thing?

    • 18650 batteries range from around 2000mAh to over 4000 so battery life would depend greatly on which capacity battery you use and which mode you use the torch in. It would also depend a lot on how truthful the mAh rating of the battery is as most are overrated to some extent.

There's just too many variables to answer this question. If you plan to use it for a few hours every day, then it probably won't last a week but if you use it for 10 mins every now and then, it might last a couple of years.

  • Last torch i bought from tmart took 6 weeks to arrive.

    • I hope that's not the average for TMart. My last couple of orders from Meritline have been the fastest ever (2 weeks flat), but the one before that took 6 weeks to the day from items shipped email, and I had pretty much written it off at that point.

      • Hi, Tas,
According to different shipping methods to different countries, our delivery time varies. That's not the average for Tmart.

    • Hi,02LyW, was your order sent by free shipper (Hongkong post). If yes, it usually takes about 30-45 days to receive. If not, can you give us your Order ID so we can check it out?

  • how does this compare to the LED Lenser T7 on OZB a few days ago??

    • The T7 is a brighter led than the q5. The lenser also comes with the sliding focus that quickly changes from flood to throw and is waterproof aswell. This one is more like a barebone model.

If you need the features on the T7 then get that, but this is a similar torch for 1/6th of the price.

Also note, there are australian sellers selling the led lenser for $50 shipped on ebay, maybe less from overseas

      • Water resistant not waterproof.
