Price matching catch I think. Best price according to the camels.

Usually dispatched within 3 to 5 days

It looks like Catch is clearing this so we might not see this price again? Previous best price according to a quick look through OzBargain history was maybe $165 back in January. Camels registered a price in the $130/$140 range? Hard to tell on the graph. Not sure what happened there. Would have thought it would have been on here…

      Camel camel says yes.

    • +1

Looks that way. Was pretty popular at $165 back in January.

      • Thanks. Bought 1

  • Bought one

Good price but it looks a bit small

    • +2

It is bloody tiny at only 20cm! 4 biscuits! Not even a whole pizza!

  • Grrrr! It won't deliver to my address…

      • But it does rotisserie chickens!

        FTFY

  • For 1-2 persons how would this compare to a basic $70 air fryer from BIGW/kmart

    • +4

This is way bigger I reckon. For $100 it's a no brainer

    • +3

The tumbler thing inside makes this actually… good?

Don't have to shuffle your stuff around to get stuff cooked, no soggy bits, no dried out bits etc.

      • excellent point - thanks, have ordered

      • -1

The tumbler thing inside makes this actually… good?

That's for roasting nuts or making popcorn.

      • +3

Its not good for potato gems. Comes out in big blob of potatoes.

        • I have this machine, it's excellent for potato gems.

If they are all stuck together it isn't going to be better cooking them on a tray

      • +1

We have one and use the tumbler often for our home made chips. We cut up the potatoes, toss them in so.e olive oil and they come our amazing.

  • Damn it. I already have 1 Instant Vortex. No space for this one. Super price

  • +2

If all you're interested in is the fry cage, you can buy that seperately
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/354697776630

If will fit with any air fryer that has a rotiserie function

    • Mine came with the cage included

    • it comes with it.

      • +2

"If all you're interested in is…"

    • You can get them for half that price from AliExpress.

Also, your air fryer needs to have a rotisserie function.

  • +2

Have one, use it almost daily. Amazing product.

  • +1

Damn bought it for $140 from Amazon a month ago and that was meant to be a great sale!

    • -1

      Return it and buy another.

  • +1

Would this fit a pork belly or leg?

The dimensions say basically 25cm cubed…that is tiny and couldnt fit a chook even if that was the cooking area…

    • Yes, up to about 1.5kg (which isn't that big)

  • +5

Just pointing out the wattage is only 1500watts, compare this to phillips airfryers that use 2250watts. I assume takes longer to heat up
The reason I am guessing is because these are American models very slightly adapted for Australia/EU, so they are still only 1500W due to USA power limitations of 110v15amps, equalling maximum wattage of 1650w per power point, while our powerpoints are 2400watts

  • Damn, it Amazon charged my card before I managed to get my giftcard order through.

    • +1

How did that happen? User error?

      • +1

HCF offers 4% off Amazon giftcards, what I usually do, especially with these deals. I order first and pay with card, then I go to HCF buy a giftcard of the exact price. It then takes a couple minutes for the giftcard to come through, then I apply to the Amazon order. But in the last two purchases, they have charged my card almost immediately, so I can't apply the giftcard after the fact.

        • +1

          That makes sense. Cheers

    Back in stock on amazon!!!!

  • The advantage of this one is the spinny thing. Makes all the difference. Instead of getting chips which are airfried on one side the agitation exposes all of the chips to the air.

Have used it to bake cupcakes but only six at a time. You can chance 12 but you need to keep a close eye on them and rotate constantly. with two shelves in the thing you get hotspots pretty bad.

  • Oos

  • Any thoughts on whether this one or the Instant Vortex Plus 5.7l Air Fryer $125 is better?

    • +1

question is which one more suitable for you.
If you mainly cook chips, this one is better as the rotation.
If you need larger flat cooking area, 5.7 one is better.
I have both but at last using 5.7 one because 10L cooking area too small and hard to clean

      • I think ease to clean will be the decision maker for me here. Thank you!!

  • Managed to get one a few mins ago.

  • damn missed this one

    • Back in stock.

Gee, Air Fryers really have come full circle!

This is just a convection oven! Always has been… But put an Air Fryer sticker on it, and everyone loses their shit.

    • +1

An air fryer uses a high-powered fan to circulate hot air around the food from all angles, cooking it quickly and evenly. This technology is specifically designed for frying and roasting, and it allows the food to develop a crispy exterior while remaining moist on the inside.

      • +11

… yeah, they have a name for that, fan forced convention oven…

        • A small convection oven also uses a fan to circulate hot air around the food, but typically at a lower speed than an air fryer.

        • +1

@shermanpk, I had a similar opinion initially, but have lately been reflecting on how wasteful it is to have the oven - which is the highest drain device in the house at 30A - going for ten minutes to heat a single slice of pizza. Or a couple of breadrolls etc. Even if it doesn't heat any faster, a countertop device can't draw more than 10A, so there's got to be some gains there, even if only used occasionally. At $99, I'll take a punt.

          • @cletus75: Oh, I completely agree, 'Air Fryers' are great, but they're just little fan forced convention ovens.
We've had toaster ovens and desktop convention ovens for years. It's just that one brand cottoned on and marketed them differently.

      • -2

The fan isn't "high powered" - it just spins a bit faster in a smaller enclosure. But the result is definitely different.

  • Damn it. I bought it at $139 from catch last month when deal was posted. I wonder if I can get a refund of the difference

  • +1

Back in stock… won’t be long

  • Thanks OP, managed to get one in the second round. It is back in the stock for third time.

    • Don't think I've seen this before. Not this quickly anyway.

  • Thanks OP. Somehow got a additinal $10 discount.

    • you probably had credit on your account. Previous promo perhaps.

  • Orderable with note "Usually dispatched within 3 to 5 days"

    • Thanks, I don't think they'll find more this time…

  • Thanks OP. Pulled the trigger after sitting on buying one after a long time and got additional 10$ discount too :)

  • still not being shipped out yet. Hope they are able to fulfil the orders.

    • If you were in one of the later batches I think the dispatch date was quite delayed.

      • yeah possibly waiting for more stock to arrive

    • If it makes you feel better, I got my order in pretty late but I got tracking details added since today. Couriers Please though. So I expected it to come 1 week late

      • I just checked and I also got the tracking tonight
But not sure which courier company Couriers Please Pty Ltd is this. Never heard this company.
Update: Ok another courier company. Will see how long it will take compared to auspost or toll

        • I ordered something from another seller that also use Couriers please yesterday and I got an sms and able to track my shipment on the other item.
But for this order I think they just prepared the shipment information but the item not been shipped yet as no further tracking information available.

  • Mine is with couriers please too

please deliver it in one piece, although im expecting a beaten up package

  • +1

Based on my most recent experience with Couriers Please and Amazon, you kinda want it to come late and ask for a refund. Amazon are pretty good for it. Couriers Please will eventually deliver the goods anyway. So free air fryer baby.

    • Lol

    • How late before you request for refund? After the stated delivery date on your order?

      • They'll say something to the effect of sorry we are late, should be here by X. If you haven't received it by Y you can start the refund process. I think. It's been a while since I've had something late. I've never gone through the refund process.

    • If you have not received your package by today, you can come back here the next day for a refund.

1 more day and I can ask for a refund. CP picked up the parcel on 16th May and no movements since…

      • On Amazon it says CP picked it up on 18th, but using the tracking code at CP, it says Amazon didn't give it to them……

        • Checked my tracking on CP and it only has:

          Shipping information received from shipper

So CP hasn't even picked it up yet…

          • @RichardL: My one has

            Unable to collect from sender
Reason: Parcel not ready for collection
