Is Shopping Online at the Supermarket with Delivery in Rural Town Worth It?

I noticed Coles is doing deliveries in towns outlying from Mildura. I was wondering is it worth it to save 30 km of driving each way? I was also wondering if Woolworths are doing the same? I figure even if prices are higher online I will be more observational and organized if I do my weekly shop this way. Interesting to hear about your experiences with this anywhere in Australia.

    1. "I was wondering is it worth it to save 30 km of driving each way" - Surely you can work out the the cost of driving and compare with the cost of delivery charges?
    2. Ask you local Woolies the question
    3. Check the online prices with in-store.

    Simples.

There's nearly always a reason to go into town.
    Just do your shop then.

You get to pick the fruit and veggies you want, grab a few clearance items for the freezer, avoid their guess for a substitute etc etc

I've done the delivery with Woolies a few times for a novelty and to use sign up offers. I find shopping at ALDI best anyway and they don't deliver.

You can order more than you can fit in your car, plus time saved. Get 50 cans of beans at once, 100 cans of cat food.
