      • It is correct when I purchased Driver San Francisco and was about to enter the key uplay stated once the key is entered it will bind to the account forever. Also after I downloaded and installed all my games I logged into my uplay account on my brother's pc and he can download and install all the games, the site must be out of date.

        • Yes it will bind to the account forever, that's the point of the serial key. As far as installing on your brothers pc, it will allow you to do that within 30 days. On any other PC from memory.

        • I'll wait 30 days and try it on my laptop and see what happens, I have however backed up Driver SF just in case.

  • Hey, is anyone getting a server error when trying to buy silent hunter 5? tried with paypal and credit card, and keep getting the error.

  • On another note, i bought Driver SF today, and it downloaded fine, extracts, then when it goes to install, it asks for Admin rights, which i grant, then it just vanishes. Haven't worked out a fix yet.

    • I fixed the issue in case anyone else has it..

After the files download, they generally go to the desktop under "Downloads". Go there, run the setup to extract the rar's. Then it prompts you to install from what looks like the correct install menu. On my machine after you click 'Install' then give it admin rights, it just vanishes and does nothing. If this happens to you, go to c:\Users\YourWindowsLogon\AppData\Local\Temp\DriverSF\ where you'll see again what looks like the correct setup.exe file - IGNORE THAT ONE and continue on to Disk1\InstData then run setup.exe from there.

Then the game should install properly, takes a while.

      cheers.

      • Yep that happened to me too.

  • OK so I remembered to check out Settlers 7 … 4.99 (4.50 with the thankyou code) and went to buy it through paypal.

After logging in with PayPal (but before I completed confirmation) I slipped and closed the browser (ctrl-w on Chrome should be disabled for me - I do it all the time when I slip going for shift-W) anyway I opened Chrome back up and all the tabs reopend - sessions saved. I clicked the Paypal confirmation and it took me back to Ubisoft with:
"Thank you for your purchase. Your order is currently being processed. You will receive an email shortly confirming your purchase and including delivery information"
But I was nervous as this is very generic no receipt number or account name acknowledgement .. I looked in my Paypal account and could not see the transaction. I thought maybe the session was not held for ubisoft? I went back and into my cart and I could still see Settlers 7 in the cart? Shit.

I then waited 3 hours and no email from Ubisoft or other notification of payment shown in PayPal .. not wanting to miss out on the deal (and needing to sleep) I went through the process again thinking something was gimped by closing the browser… and this time it would work OK. And it is essentially the same - same message no payment in Paypal, no emails (20min since). Have I just bought two of these or is it stuffed? If I did get 2 will Ubisoft refund?

Guess I will find out in the morning now. What a stupid system of processing.
