Hi all
Currently have a 50” LG plasma that is about 15 years old and has finally died.
Looking for something under $1000 that is good for basic streaming, no gaming etc. viewing distance is around 2.5m and definitely do not want any bugger than 55”
Would prefer a simole user interface without too much “noise” (adverts etc) if that is even possible these days?

The Mini LED, Google TV (personal choice), built in subwoofer and 3 year warranty.
I bought a 10 year old sony bravia for $70 off facebook, then paired it with a google tv. I'm just as happy watching that as a new 65in 4k tv i also have.

During Easter I got a Sony 55" TV on offer under $850 and saved a lot from the original price.
Yeah will probably wait for that but thought i’d get an idea of recommendations now and then watch the prices up to the EOFY
Look, this just came today, have no idea of quality though.
I found teh same for my Mum a few years ago. Can get the Sony 55" for under $1k when they go on sale at JB HiFi
tcl c835 55" is going for about $850. Google interface. There's certainly cheaper options available but this has some pretty decent tech for the $$$
