[eBay Plus, Cancelled] 25% off Eligible Items, Max $300 Discount, up to 5 Uses Per Account @ eBay Australia

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Part of the eBay Plus weekend sales!

Seller cofunded promo. eBay is funding most of the discount to my knowledge. Maybe some price jacking?

Offer Period. This offer commences at 10:00am AEST on 25 May 2023 and is available for a limited time only as long as it is advertised on the ebay.com.au site (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time.

Eligibility. This offer is available to eBay Plus members only. eBay Plus terms and conditions apply.

Conditions. This offer entitles you to 25% off the pre-coupon purchase price (excluding postage costs) on Eligible Items during the Offer Period, up to a maximum discount of $300 per transaction. Multiple items may be purchased in 5 transactions (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction).

"Eligible Items" means items listed on eBay.com.au where a link to these terms and conditions and the coupon redemption code PWE25 is found in the item listing, or the item appears in the following URL:

Redemption. To redeem this offer during the Offer Period, enter the redemption code PWE25 into the redemption code box during checkout. This code cannot be used in conjunction with any other eBay offer, coupon or voucher. You can only use the redemption code 5 times during the Offer Period. The code is provided to you as an eBay User and the limitations on its usage apply on that basis even though you may have registered a number of different eBay User IDs.

Full credit to my personal chef as always!

Enjoy!

  • Hey guys,
Hate to break the news put this promo has been cancelled and it has been replaced with the 22% one

This post will be removed/moved to the forums in due course.

  • +6

25% , let see what excluded.

    • +22

      Everything excluded

      • I'm sure not everything will be excluded.. but those that aren't will be price jacked anyway no doubt

    • +8

      Spoiler Alert - Everything

      • everything but the stuff you want.

    • +1

5 Uses Per Account = needle in a haystack eligibility .

      • *5 needles in a haystick.

3 of those will be pricejacked, the other 2 will be out of stock.

But it'll be a good time to stock up on cheap socks that are 3 sizes too small and fall apart after one wash

    • +2

Only jacked price items are eligible.

  • +1

    Maybe some price jacking?

    😱 Heretic!
Next thing you'll say that the earth is spherical.

    • +3

No, it's not. It's flat all the way around!

    • +3

Next thing you'll say that the earth is spherical.

It actually isn't. The Earth is spheroidal – specifically, an oblate spheroid – not spherical.

      (I'll see myself out.)

      • Good, so ergo price jacking isn't real either!

  • Maybe some price jacking?

    Some… 😒

  • 25% off after 20% markup. Real savings 5%?

    • +16

Umm that would be a 10% saving.

      100 x 1.20 = 120 (+20%)
      120 x 0.75 = 90 (-25%)
      100-90 = 10 (10 less)
      10/100 = 0.10 or 10%

      • It's like every time I see 15% + 10% = 25% off!!! :D

    • +2

      Math Nazi alert.

That’s not how math works unfortunately. It’s 10% savings with a 20% markup and 25% off.

    • +1

More likely 25% off after 33% price jack, which still leaves a small saving

      • Ends up with a tiny 0.25% off.

  • +2

    what even is it on

  • -3

Jack is back, back again, yes hes back in 10 days again

  • Oh no! I just bought a desktop today😫

    • Return it

      • And it may be part of the sale, but most likely not. But if it is, it will probably be jacked and not make much difference.

        • Yeah I'll watch to find out how dodgy sellers can be… 😂

  • Could be a cheap Steam Deck coming up

    • at 25% discount, it's very unlikely this sale is for tech / gaming / mobile device category.

I'd say it's more likely you'll see lesser-known brands like Baseus, and high-margin categories like homewares, furniture and toys.

We did see a 20% off tech category sale last May though that was quite popular

        • insider info always the best info hey ;)

        • if they opt in
then they would need to jack it up.

        • are you working at ebay?
how you confirm or know someone inside ebay?

  • good luck finding anything this works on

  • -2

ready for Jack coming to town in 10 days…

  • +3

    "on eligible items…"

Sooooo, just another worthless easter egg hunt I'm guessing…

  • +2

I did well last time on a few items from long term vendors. Prices were not jacked (as I was watching over a few months). Probably depends on vendor but it is worthwhile checking out. The hassle here is not knowing who is partaking in the promo.

  • +7

This is equivalent to posting Kmart has discounted items but you need to find the bargains yourself.

Unless a specific bargain is listed, this isn’t a deal but an advertisement, at best a PSA.

Maybe voting should be suspended on these deals until it’s live and at least one bargain is listed?

    • +1

Agreed. I will be holding out on an upvote until I see what deals there are to be had.

    • +1

been saying this for years… there are periods where ebay "refreshes" a code literally every day, spamming this site without deals.

  • +4

How can anyone upvote this without knowing what’s included/excluded/jacked?

Talk about blind faith (I’m being really kind here)

  • +5

    PWE25 = “Product Wasn't Exactly 25%” off on eBay

And “Perhaps We Expected 25% too much" from eBay

  • 25% off 4070,4080,4090 rtx , XD

  • Jack is on the way in 10 days

  • +2

At this rate, I think my eBay plus subscription would save me more money if I just cancelled it.

    • +1

This is exactly how I felt about two years ago. The tipping point was when eBay customer service was unhelpful when handling a refund.

I took my money to Amazon prime and rarely check out eBay anymore.

  • Would eligible items include dining chairs furniture?

  • It would be good if they had their list up so we know what's going on.

I've been looking at getting an orange Icom IC-41PRO UHF radio for a while now, and this would be the perfect time unless they jack up the price.

  • Full credit to my personal chef as always!

    What?

    • It's a long story.

      • +1

        Alright. Never mind. lol

  • Anyone know about this coupon code "MAYBC2C"? It's active on the watches I'm trying to sell on eBay, seems to work only for used watches.

  • Will this code if making payment with eBay giftcards?

  • This will give time to hike the price on items :)
