Received this in my email today. A pretty good deal considering the steep increase that movie ticket prices have undergone of late.

A Standard adult ticket is usually $23 or $18.40 for Vrewards members at Village Cinemas.

Limit of 1 per customer.

Note :

The voucher would be emailed out within 2 business days from purchase.

How to redeem

To redeem your movie ticket, visit Village Cinemas online, Event Cinemas online or present your voucher code at the ticket box of any participating Village Cinemas, Greater union, Birch Carroll & Coyle or Event Cinemas location. Not valid for movie sessions starting after 5pm on Saturday. Expiry of voucher 31/1/2024.

  • Is it one ticket or one transaction?

    • One transaction it seems. I put in a second order and received a confirmation email, but the order was not confirmed on the order history page with an invoice (the first order was confirmed without delay). The second order appears to be in limbo.

      • Your 2nd order will likely be manually cancelled and you'll be refunded in a couple of days.

          Yeah, I thought it'd be something like that, so I ended up cancelling the order (just in case the refund was received as a credit on the account). It was the only option offered with that order on the History page.

        well I thought people would actually read the description on the landing page before buying it. Guess not all do. Will get this added to make it more convenient for those folks.

        • Almost every e-gift card site state can take 2 days but its usually just to keep them safe and are usually delivered in minutes.
          So it's unusual these orders were delayed for all.

        What's wrong with going to the movie alone? I always do, not everyone wants to see the movie you want to.

        • Nothing wrong with going alone. "I" don't see any point of going alone (personal choice). To elaborate further, I have an 85" TV wall mounted with a 12.1.4 soundbar so it's more comfortable at home when watching a movie alone.

        • I got the first two purchased maybe an hour or two after - vouchers sent to my email.

          Nothing and no notification on the others. no order cancellation, no refund.
          Still in limbo.

    Orerdered 1 more immediately.. got the 2nd one today 6pm.
    And looking at other comments it looks like everyone got theirs at 6pm.

      • I'm not holding my breath that they will fulfill these.

        • After placing 2 orders on 17/05 at 7:30PM and receiving both tickets at 6:15PM on 18/05, I ordered some more at 6:30PM on 18/05. I received order confirmations but haven't seen anything since, today marks 3 business days for me. I can't say I'm feeling very optimistic at this point either lol.
