It is really not big, I actually had issues with a similar one SNE553 because I felt it was too small (8-inch wrist). A 42mm watch that I have felt bigger because the lug to lug of this is so small.

I changed the armor of it with a metal one just to make it visually look bigger.

After spending many thousands with starbuy over the years I can no longer recommend them over their handling of a failed delivery of my last watch.

Deepak basically stopped trying to investigate with auspost after they claimed delivery with a fake signature. We had video proof of no attempted delivery on the day they claimed.

I was left to file a credit card dispute against starbuy for failure to supply goods. I'm still waiting for this to be resolved, many months later and have no money and no watch.

      Ahhh that's not a good look 🥶

Very interesting, I have had a few good purchases with them - hope it all goes well.

austpost haven’t asked for a signature since covid , unless it’s at a post office ….postman just asks for id ……..

    • +1

That's surprising to hear, I've also purchased over 20 watches from Deepak without issue, I do however have a PO Box for secure delivery.
Is this an issue with AusPost or StarBuy?

    • bought over 20 watches from starbuy as well and haven't had a problem. they all get delivered to my parcel locker.

      • I never had a problem too, with many deliveries for thousands of dollars over many years.

As long as everything goes well, all is good but when there was a problem then their handling of the issue and how they treated a valued customer was very poor.

I hope no-one else has to go through this.

        • did you file a claim with aus post?

          • @tdw: Of course. Then Deepak asked me to let him file his own.

  • @WatchNerd, is this your shop ?

    • +2

No. If it was, there would be an associated tag. You can see reps on the store info page

  • Hey @WatchNerd, is this equal cheapest ever for the yellow? Thinking I should finally bite the bullet. It MAY look good on me. I think I have a matching yellow, Macpac puffer this would look good with.

    • +2

      it's equal lowest

  • @WatchNerd I don't recall you ever posting a Garmin Fenix deal, mainly just analogue and Casio watches. Not in to smart/fitness watches?

Been trawling for a Fenix 7x ss deal for weeks with no luck.

      Not in to smart/fitness watches?

      No.

this watch always haunts me every time it pops up in the weekend sales: https://starbuy.com.au/citizen-eco-drive-mens-watch-at2460-8… it's cheap enough that i could buy it but then i always see something better (and usually more expensive.) then i just tell myself, "ahh, next time for sure!"

    • +1

      This watch looks really interesting..

Is that a clear-ish or like an ice-blue chapter ring? It sort of looks like frosted glass. I'd be keen to see more pics of this one!

      Edit: Video of watch

      • +1

yeah that chapter ring is what got my attention at first. it seems just plain white but the way it looks under the glass combined with that fluted/coin edge bezel

  • Tempted to add a yellow Citizen as nothing like it in the collection. Given limited use and rotation a quartz is probably a better fit.

Very happy with all my Starbuy buys and they honored a promised price when in stock. Disappointing to read of a dispute over delivery

    • id get the yellow if it was solar or quartz …. rarely wear same watch more than a couple of days

  • Oh wow, cruising through the sale I saw this Casio G-Shock which is not appealing to me at all. Someone else might like it but to my eye it’s probably the ugliest watch I’ve ever seen.

I am attracted the to the Citizen CA4559-13A, though. Seems like a good price for an Eco-Drive at $269.

    • That CA4559 appealed to me too, I have been tempted now twice to push the buy button….. I must resist.. :-)
