  • On sale, it's a decent price if you don't need steel capped boots

  • I'm getting Romper Stomper vibes from these shoes

Nah, these are your bog standard meat pies, sausage rolls and portaloo afficionado shoes.

Those romper stomper ones were Doc Martens. As worn by goth chicks, emo dudes and McDonald's workers.

      • Pretty sure everyone I saw in Newtown the other day had these…

  • Thanks OP!

  • Links don’t work. Whole site offline or is it just me??

    • Worked fine for me just moments ago

I actually work 7 days a week thank you.

Are they made from real caterpillars? 🐛

  • Are these boots good for walking in snow?

    • Leather wouldn't be great for snow. Aldi just had their snow sale. See if your local has the snow boots left.

    Protect ya neck

  • Do we think these are waterproof? Don't mean wear in a river, but in wet/mud would they keep the elements out?

  • This style of boot generally won't allow water in around the bottom half of the upper - and you'll only get water in around the laces and the top - i.e. the leather isn't easily permeable.

Of course if you're standing in 6 inches of shit all day, then … well you probably need to stop working there or get paid more.

Mongrel boots are a pretty good price on eBay for Aussie made
Unfortunately the $20 off afterpay deal just ended ,
but I think there’s sure to be another deal along soon .

The black Colorado 2.0 in the links use Goodyear Welt construction- my boots over the last 20+ years use same construction method - Highly recommend. Better water resistance and heavier duty type construction.
    Unfortunately very limited sizing.

The tan eColorado eco boot uses Strobel construction, more aligned with sneakers. Weaker, less water resistance relative to Goodyear.

Having said that, the pricing on both is awesome for Cats. For me Caterpillar has been one of the few boots out of the box that are comfy with almost no wear in period.

    • Reading the reviews it says the black boots are not WelTed construction ,
While the description says welDed ,
So I don’t know what to believe there, but the tan ones are a stitched on sole ,
I’d probably go with those if you had to have Cat boots .

  • Cheers for this. Got in on it late last night.
