Mattress Recommendation for Adjustable Bed Base

Hi guys,

We are looking for a firm king size mattress that works well with a adjustable bed base. Mattress we bought few years is rubbish, its already sogging and gives me back pain. Looking for something 3Ks , ideally upto 2.5Ks.

Thanks,

Go to Harvey Normans, (bedding) pick their brains and take on board the stuff they say that makes sense and THEN buy the product somewhere else. It's our duty as Strayans.

PS, Ikea foam type may surprise you, as far as sleepable firmness/comfort & longevity. Not sure if they 'do' kingsize , though

Hiya, I build mattresses, many retail spring units have metal border wire. These don't work with adjustable bases.

Ideally you'll require a spring unit without border wire. 99% of retail staff will not be able to help you with this information.

If you tell me which city you are closest too, I can help point you in the right direction of a factory that might be able to help. 👍

    • Thanks mate. I am in Melbourne, south eastern burbs

  • Sealy posturepedic exquisite, flex firm or medium.
king size around $3-3.3k when on sale

Suggest look for best price around and go into myer for price match, and stack with 15% extra value GC:

Otherwise 5-10% myer GC should be easier to obtain.

  • I don't see any other retails than Myers that stock Exquisite Rochelle. I am guessing other Exquisite variants shall be close enough or almost same ?
Quite weird what I see Myers has no one has, Same for Snoozer, HN etc. They all have Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite but last name always differs with every retailer

They have different names across retailers as they have slightly different configuration in the materials used etc, and also imo to make it harder to compare prices between retailers.

As long as you're comparing Sealy exquisite, they should be largely the same with the 3 stage support spring system

      • makes sense. thank you
