Braun Series 9 Shaver - Where Can I Get It at a Reduced Price?

Looking for an electric razor I think the Braun series 9 is the way to go. Is the cleaner required?

Looking for an electric razor I think the Braun series 9 is the way to go so I don't need to shave as frequently.

    Is the cleaner required?
Where can I get I a reduced price?

  • Mate i did this same research a few weeks back, ended up getting the series 8, particularly the model 8543, which comes with the series 9 cleanet dock. Was on special at jb not to long ago, goes on sale for about $350.

    • Thanks

  • Have you look at Shavershop?

They've got top of the line one at $549 (charging case + Cleaning Station) (from 799)

One with standard case + cleaning station for $489 (from 749)

the basic model is not on sale and is selling for $699

Cleaner is not required. I think you can flush the head catridge under warm water. Work well if you wash your face with soap before you shave. (no build up of face oil in the shaving head/cutter blade).

On the other hand. It is handy to have.. Once in a while the shaver head can start to smell not fresh. And you can manually wash it with soap and oil it. But with the cleaning kit it is way more convenient. The alcohol cleaning catridge is expensive though…

Better having it than finding out needing it and not have it? (they include one catridge in the box).

    • Thanks for the advice.
I could only see the series 9 at the shaver shop.

Now the question is the 9 that much better than 8?

      • Ummm not sure.. Haven't tried these personally. Googling it. It says it has 4+1 Shaving Elements + Pro Lift Trimmer… Which is their latest generation thing.

The 8 series has the old style 3+1 Style shaving elements.

        So seems worthwhile…

        Probably best try in-person/in-store.

If you want my personal opinion.

Probably worth it if the price difference is not too much.

The top of the line one offers the most pleasant/comfortable and closest shave.

The bottom of the pack from these brand will do the job just fine… Just not the most pleasant or closest shave.

Even the battery powered one from braun or philips will do okay.

  • Have you looked at the Panasonic shavers? They are very good.
