can confirm, this is a recommended tool by GPs

        • Been using this for 3 years. Subscription needed to step the audio.

        • Cool! Thanks for the suggestion 😁

Thanks OP. Deal available on iOS too!

    • Not free for me. New customers only?

      • Same. Tried with different credentials and no free year.

It worked for me, I created a new Balance account, then accepted the 1 year free offer authenticating with my Apple account. I then got an error that I already had a subscription (I had a previous one but it was expired). Then I launched the app again and clicked restore purchases (I think it was under Profile > Cog > Account Status) and it registered my free year.

I then cancelled the subscription through my iCloud settings (which still keeps your access for the year).

i used headspace, calm and balance. this is by far best just for meditation. calm is good for music collection. headspace? i don't like its design

I agree, I'm using insight timer atm, and its great, but repetitive. Balance really trains your mind and has great voices to listen to for sleep time.

You can cancel your subscription immediately in Google Play and you'll still have access for a year (according to my understanding of the text when you cancel).

    • Meditation app is almost like a Spotify. So if you use this for a year you will create a library and then have to stop using it after a year.

I guess if you think you would be willing to pay for Meditation app then this is good.

  • does anyone know if I can get this deal again if I already received a year ago?

    • +2

You won't with the same google play account.

      • good to know, thanks! I will switch accounts.

        • FWIW, it worked for me using the same Apple account.

I have tried a few, and stuck with Balance. I like it a lot. I bought the subscription after the free year. It has been first year free since inception, so this isn't actually a deal.

A very good free one is called Smiling Mind.

  • Thanks I have the calm lifetime but happy to try this out too!

Can I cancel the subscription now in Google Play and keep the subscription for a year ?

  • +1

I bought the lifetime subscription a while ago. This gives me the extra pep when im feeling flat at work…. o definitely recommend

  • I might be wrong but looks like it’s available on the Apple App Store.

    • Yes. New subscribers only.

Thanks subscribedabd canceled immediately. Still valid till next year

I used free trail before on ios but currently I didn’t had app. I downloaded and done few questions. After that they ask for contribution amount which you can select $0 too. Then apple pay prompts pop up saying 1 year trail and I continued it. However app gave error that i already used trail but in subscriptions option in Phone Settings shows 1 year trail so i went back to app and selected restore license and it worked.

    • Nicely done

I have to be honest, first meditation app I truly liked and stuck to and found absolutely helpful and enlightening! 10/10 highly recommend it y'all. I'm still on my year 1 trial :)

  • +1

I tried this out for the free year and liked it so much I bought the lifetime subscription.

Great app that I use regularly, even for getting back to sleep.

Highly recommend, and the lifetime cost is a small amount compared to the benefit it can provide.

Thanks. Been using Headspace for 4 years but I've really disliked what they've done to the app over the past couple of years and I'm ready for a change. It's hard to navigate, to the point where it discourages you from searching for particular meditations.

I just downloaded the app with their free 6 months and immediatley deleted it because of the apps navigation was terrible

  • +1 for terrible navigation on headspace. I remember it being a lot more structured and more simplistic a few years back when I first used it. Now it just seems cluttered with unnecessary content(blogs, podcasts, videos, music…etc) to the point where it is borderline nauseating to sift through. Just deleted it. Sticking with the Balance app trial.

  • This one is good. I've previously used Waking Up by Sam Harris which was better, lots of podcast like content, for a higher price.
