        Unfortunately those customers with negative reviews likely received counterfeit cards, even if they purchased from "Fulfilled by Amazon" (FBA), due to Amazon's commingled inventory for items with the same manufacturer barcode / SKU, whereby stock from third party sellers gets mixed together for the purpose of fulfilling orders in the most efficient manner. Basically it means that counterfeit stock could be mixed together with genuine stock and it's a gamble as to whether you received a counterfeit or genuine product. There's no way to be sure as even products labelled "Ships from and sold by Amazon" have been known to be prone to the issue previously (not sure if still the case), but for purchases such as these microSD cards you should use freely available software to validate the cards are genuine as soon as you receive them so you can immediately return to Amazon in the event they are counterfeit.

          @pavlos: To be clear, it was independently tested by microSD card reviewers who found them to be inadequate and therefore did not recommend them for use in security camera recording.

                @MuddyClear: Here is the single article that does not recommend. From a company that is now producing their own SD cards and surprisingly recommends their own in #1 position. And they don't share any detail on the said numerous tests that were conducted and multi-channel feedback they received (I would therefore assume any negative feedback on these cards is also a result of counterfeits that users could not distinguish). I'll take my chances based on every other positive review out there for the genuine product.

  This or the $38.84 256gb samsung pro+ in the steam deck? Is the greater writes worth the extra since the pro+ exceeds the max speed in the steam deck anyway.

    This is for recording device like IP camera or dashcam. The Pro plus is cheaper and better for Steam deck.
